The rooms are what you’d expect from SpringHill Suites — they’re actually suites, which makes a difference when you’re trying to live out of a suitcase for a few days. You get a separate sitting area with a sofa bed, a mini-fridge, and a microwave that’s actually useful. The beds are comfortable enough, and there’s a decent amount of closet space. Nothing fancy, but everything works well, and the WiFi is solid throughout the building. The bathrooms are modern and clean — again, nothing that’ll blow you away, but you won’t find anything to complain about either.

The breakfast situation here is better than most Marriott properties I’ve stayed at. They do an American buffet that covers the basics well — decent coffee, fresh fruit, eggs that don’t taste like rubber, and those make-your-own waffles that somehow always hit the spot. You know what I appreciate? They keep it stocked even during busy periods, and the dining area doesn’t feel like a cafeteria. It’s included in your rate, which in Manhattan is basically like finding money on the street.
