Inside, the hotel feels… substantial, I guess? Like they didn’t cut corners on the renovation. The lobby’s got this warm, modern vibe without trying too hard to be trendy. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star place, but here’s what I really appreciated: the soundproofing actually works. 10th Avenue can get busy, especially with all the Hudson Yards construction traffic, but I slept fine. The beds are legit comfortable, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, which honestly is saying something for Manhattan.

What really sold me though was the practical stuff. The fitness center is decent – not huge, but the equipment works and it’s usually not packed. There’s a business center that’s actually useful if you need to print boarding passes or whatever. And the staff? They get it. When I asked about getting to JFK, the front desk guy didn’t just say “take a taxi” – he laid out the subway options and timing based on when my flight was. That’s the kind of local knowledge that makes a difference.

The neighborhood’s changing fast with all the Hudson Yards development, but right now it feels like you’re getting the best of both worlds – the energy of new New York with pockets of the old character. There’s a decent bodega right around the corner, a couple of solid coffee shops within a block, and honestly, some of the best people-watching in the city as the area fills up with this mix of locals, tourists, and business types.

Is it perfect? Well, parking’s expensive if you’re driving (but that’s Manhattan for you), and sometimes the elevators get slow during check-in rushes. But for the price point and location, especially if you’re here for business or want to explore beyond the obvious tourist spots, it’s a solid choice.   The room is really big. I stayed with 2 friends and it was still really comfortable. The hotel is almost new, everything works perfectly and the staff is really helpful. There is a bar downstairs where we had breakfast the majority of the days.
  The location is just amazing: you are closed to pretty much everything by walking or if not there are several metro stations close by.

  The rooms were good sized and well setup. The location was great – close enough to things but away from the Times Square / Penn station crowds.
  We were able to walk everywhere and there were great restaurants close by (Hudson yards and 9th Avenue).
