Nesva Hotel – New York City Vista Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Nesva Hotel – New York City Vista in Long Island City, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling. This three-star property sits quietly on 29th Street, and honestly, the name gives away exactly what you’re getting — those Manhattan skyline views are absolutely the main event here. The building itself is modern but not flashy, which I actually appreciated after dealing with the chaos of getting into Queens from the airport.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re technically in Queens, but Manhattan feels incredibly close. The subway connections are solid, and you know what? Sometimes it’s nice to step away from the tourist madness and stay somewhere that feels more like where actual New Yorkers live. Long Island City has this cool mix of industrial-chic vibes and waterfront parks, plus you’ll find some really good local restaurants that won’t completely destroy your budget. Couples seem to really get this location (they rate it 8.6), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about those skyline views, especially at sunset.
The Room Experience
My room was clean and comfortable, though definitely more about function than fancy amenities. The real star here is stepping up to that window — the Manhattan views really do deliver on the hotel’s promise. The beds are decent, the bathroom works well, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. I mean, you’re not getting marble countertops or anything, but for a three-star place, everything felt well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged.
Practical Perks
The breakfast situation is pretty straightforward — they do continental style, and if you’re rushing out early, you can grab something to go. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it gets the job done and saves you from hunting down coffee first thing in the morning. Parking is available right at the hotel, which honestly might be worth its weight in gold if you’re driving in New York City. That’s not something you find everywhere, especially at this price point.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests have been rating this place pretty highly (8.7 for location), and after staying here, I totally understand why. It’s that sweet spot where you get genuine New York City access without paying Manhattan hotel prices. The staff seems to actually care about making sure you have what you need, and there’s something refreshing about a hotel that doesn’t try to be more than it is — just a solid, well-located place to sleep with killer views. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to explore different neighborhoods and doesn’t need to be right in Times Square, this place makes a lot of sense.

It is not central, however just a subway ride away to the central. The hotel is small, had a nice view from our 7th floor and very convenient to have a subway station only a few minutes away.
