You can walk to the waterfront parks along the East River in about ten minutes, and the views of the Manhattan skyline from there? Absolutely worth the short stroll. Couples especially seem to get this location — I mean, there’s something romantic about having the city right across the water but still having your own quieter space.

The Room Experience

My room was exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star place — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without unnecessary frills. The bed was actually really comfortable (sometimes you never know with mid-range hotels), and the bathroom was modern with good water pressure. What I appreciated most was the attention to practical details — plenty of outlets, decent lighting for reading, and blackout curtains that actually work. The air conditioning runs quietly, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep.

The breakfast setup here is pretty impressive for a hotel this size. They do both continental and buffet options, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality — fresh fruit, decent coffee, and hot options that don’t taste like they’ve been sitting under heat lamps for hours. The breakfast area gets good natural light, so it’s actually a nice way to start your day rather than feeling like you’re eating in a basement. You know what? It’s the kind of breakfast that makes you feel like you’re getting real value for your money.

  The hotel was clean and the location to the Queensboro Plaza subway was great! The 7 Train took us direct to Times Square (15 min) and allowed us to explore the areas we wanted.
  The hotel had the option to hold our bags prior to check in and after check out so we could enjoy our day.

  The employess at LIC Plaza hotel were always very helpful and made us feel welcome, comfortable and at home. The buffet breakfast each morning offers a good variety and is a real money saver in NYC. The rooms, while not large, are very modern and clean. We had an excellent view of the city from our room. It's a short walk to the subway at Queensboro Plaza and from there a 10 min ride into mid-town Manhattan. Easy access without mid-town prices. We loved our stay and would gladly return.   Breakfast was very abundant, lots of choices. The location was very good, near a subway station. We chose the room with the view of Queens borough bridge. The room is very nice, comfortable bed, with microwave, coffe maker, safe, iron. The bathroom is perfect: with bath tub, shower, hot water.

  The hotel was very clean and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was good, considering the price, and the location fantastic for exploring NYC. The room included a fridge, microwave and coffee machine, which was more than we expected, and we were grateful we could adjust the heating ourselves. We absolutely recommend LIC Plaza and would always stay there again!

  Excellent choice of hotel if on a budget in NYC. We visited from the UK and arrived late night. The room was large and very clean. The hotel was very warm throughout and had excellent facilities in the dining area. The breakfast that was included contained generous servings and a wide range of options. The hotel is very close to the E and Q lines, allowing for easy access to Manhattan. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. James was extremely helpful, along with other staff. Everyone was very friendly and approachable.
