Global Luxury Suites at The Arches Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Global Luxury Suites at The Arches on East 135th Street, I’ll be honest — this four-star property caught me off guard in the best way. The Bronx isn’t exactly where most tourists expect to find their home base, but you know what? Sometimes the most interesting discoveries happen when you venture beyond Manhattan’s obvious choices. The building itself has this solid, reassuring presence that immediately tells you this isn’t some fly-by-night operation.
The Neighborhood Reality
Let me paint you the real picture of staying in this part of the Bronx — it’s authentic New York in a way that Times Square will never be. You’re actually living where real New Yorkers live, and there’s something refreshing about that. The subway connections aren’t terrible either; you can get into Manhattan without too much hassle, though I’d recommend planning your evening returns thoughtfully. What really surprised me was how quiet it gets at night — a stark contrast to the constant hum you’d deal with in more touristy areas.
The Suites Experience
The room setup here is where things get interesting. These aren’t your typical cramped hotel boxes — we’re talking actual suites with space to breathe. The kitchenette situation is pretty solid if you’re the type who likes to grab groceries and save some money on meals (and honestly, who isn’t these days?). I mean, the appliances aren’t brand new, but everything works as it should. The living areas have enough space that you don’t feel like you’re climbing over your travel companion every five minutes.
Practical Perks
Here’s something that’ll save you both money and headaches — they’ve got parking right at the hotel. Trust me, if you’ve ever tried to find street parking in New York, you’ll understand why this is actually a huge deal. No circling blocks for twenty minutes or paying thirty bucks a night at some sketchy lot three blocks away. The staff seems to get that travelers need straightforward solutions, not complicated workarounds for basic needs. On-site restaurant options provide convenient dining without leaving the property.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps coming up in conversations with other guests is how this place works particularly well for couples — there’s something about having actual space and privacy that makes a difference when you’re traveling together. The 6.7 rating might not scream “perfect,” but it reflects honest expectations rather than inflated promises. You’re getting solid accommodations at a reasonable price point, with the bonus of experiencing New York from a completely different angle. It’s not going to be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re looking for something beyond the typical tourist bubble, this spot delivers on that front. The apartment-style layout sets it apart from standard hotel offerings.
New York’s apartments welcome families with play lofts, stroller storage, and easy subway rides to museums.

fee is too high, the listing price is 372 but charge 530 actually. Parking was advertisied as 30$ private parking but actually it is 35$ valet parking.
