I could walk to Bryant Park in about five minutes – which, by the way, is where you want to go for your morning coffee instead of the tourist traps. The hotel’s tucked between the Garment District and Herald Square, so you get that authentic New York energy without the Elmo costumes and street performers right outside your window. Though let’s be real, you’ll still hear the city – this is Manhattan, not a spa retreat. The rooms facing 37th Street can get a bit noisy with the traffic, but that’s just part of the deal.

What actually impressed me was the evening reception thing they do – complimentary drinks and snacks that are, well, better than you’d expect from a hotel freebie. The bartender seemed to know his stuff, and it’s a decent way to decompress after a day of walking around the city. The suites themselves are solid – not Instagram-perfect, but comfortable with enough room to spread out your stuff. The separate bedroom is clutch if you’re traveling for business and need to take calls while someone else is watching TV. Breakfast is included (another win for your wallet), and while it’s not going to change your life, it’s substantial enough that you can skip lunch if you’re budget-conscious. The fitness center is small but functional – I mean, you’re in New York, so you should be walking everywhere anyway. Honestly, for a 4-star place in this part of town, it delivers on what it promises without the pretense. The 7.7 rating feels about right – it’s not perfect, but it gets the job done and then some.
