The William Vale Overview

First Impressions

Walking into The William Vale honestly feels like stepping into a scene from a modern architectural magazine — but in the best possible way. This five-star tower rises dramatically from the Brooklyn waterfront, and you know what? The views hit you immediately. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame Manhattan’s skyline in a way that actually makes you pause, even if you’re a jaded New Yorker. The lobby has this sleek, minimalist vibe that manages to feel warm rather than cold, which isn’t always easy to pull off in luxury hotels.

The Williamsburg Advantage

Here’s the thing about staying in Williamsburg — you get all the energy of being close to Manhattan without the chaos of actually being there. The hotel sits right on the East River, so you’re literally a quick ride into the city, but you can also walk to some of Brooklyn’s best spots. I mean, you’ve got trendy restaurants, artisanal coffee shops, and that whole creative scene that Williamsburg is known for right at your doorstep. Plus, couples seem to really get this location (they rate it 9.1, which honestly makes sense when you see those sunset views over the water).

The Room Experience

The rooms here are genuinely impressive — spacious by New York standards and designed with this clean, contemporary aesthetic that doesn’t feel sterile. What really stands out though are those beds everyone keeps talking about. They weren’t kidding about the comfort level; it’s the kind of room where you actually want to spend time, not just crash for the night. The bathrooms are particularly well done, with marble finishes and rainfall showers that feel properly indulgent. And honestly, waking up to those Manhattan views never gets old, even after a few days.

Dining and Amenities

The hotel’s restaurant scene is solid — Leuca serves up this Mediterranean-inspired menu that works whether you’re doing a business dinner or a romantic date night. The rooftop bar is where things get really interesting though; it’s become quite the scene, especially during summer evenings when the whole city seems to spread out below you. There’s also a proper spa if you need to unwind, and they’ve got parking available, which — let’s be real — is a huge deal in this part of Brooklyn.

Why Guests Love It

What makes The William Vale work is how it balances that luxury hotel experience with actually feeling connected to the neighborhood. You’re not stuck in some isolated bubble; you can walk out and explore one of NYC’s most dynamic areas. The service strikes that sweet spot between attentive and not overbearing, and the whole place has this energy that feels both sophisticated and relaxed. It’s the kind of hotel where you end up extending your stay if you can — not just because it’s comfortable, but because it genuinely enhances your New York experience rather than just providing a place to sleep.

Reviews of The William Vale

  • Balint from Hungary (9/10)

The location and the view from the Gotham rooms were great. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, soundproofing was good, the bathroom and the water pressure were awesome.

  • Katherine from United States (8/10)

I stayed in the "gotham corner suite with wraparound balcony" and it was a fantastic view. Considering I spent as much for this room as I would have for a similar sized suite in manhattan but without the view, I think it is worth it. I splurged as we were traveling with our baby so I knew there would be more room time than is typical for us on vacation. The bathroom was great as well with views even from the bathroom.

Beds are cosy, lovely toiletries, great mini bar selection, room service came twice a day and staff were so friendly and accommodating.
View from the room was a Brooklyn view rather than Manhattan, but still so impressive.

Upstairs bar is a really cool spot for a drink!

Location is great with easy access to subway.
