What really sets this place apart is the location – you’re literally across from Central Park, but here’s the thing most people don’t realize: you’re on the Upper West Side, which means you get that neighborhood feel without sacrificing luxury. I could walk to Zabar’s for bagels (seriously, do this), hit the farmers market at Columbus Circle, or just disappear into the park for a morning run. The subway’s right there too, so getting downtown is actually easier than from some of those Times Square hotels where you’re fighting crowds just to reach the platform. The rooms are genuinely spacious by New York standards – I’m talking actual closets and bathrooms where you don’t bump your elbows on everything. My suite had floor-to-ceiling windows facing the park, and honestly, watching the seasons change in Central Park from your bed never gets old. The kitchen setup is legit too, not just some mini-fridge situation, which came in handy since room service prices in Manhattan can make your credit card weep.

Here’s what I really noticed though – the service feels personal without being intrusive. The concierge actually knew the neighborhood, could recommend that little wine bar on 72nd Street that tourists never find, and didn’t just hand me a generic list of Broadway shows. Check-in was smooth even during busy periods, and they seem to have figured out that thing where your room is actually ready when they say it is. The spa and fitness center are solid, though I’ll be honest – with Central Park right there, I spent most of my workout time outside. One small thing that bugged me: the elevators can be slow during peak times, but that’s pretty much my only real complaint. The noise level is surprisingly manageable for Manhattan – those thick windows actually work, and being on the park side means you’re not dealing with constant street noise. Just be aware that if you’re here during the holidays, the whole Columbus Circle area gets absolutely packed with shoppers hitting up the Time Warner Center, so plan accordingly. Overall, if you want to feel like you’re living in New York rather than just visiting it, this place nails that balance between luxury and authenticity that’s pretty rare in the city.

  Family of 4 in a large 2 bed suite that was brilliant. 10th floor and very comfortable with wonderful views of the park. Great value in comparison to other 2 bed suites. Also a small kitchen which was very useful with children.
