The Flatiron District is right there too – I found myself wandering over to that little stretch near Eataly way more than I expected. And here’s something most people don’t mention: the subway situation is actually decent. The F and M trains at 23rd Street aren’t the most glamorous, but they’ll get you where you need to go without the Penn Station madness.

The rooms have this modern thing happening that doesn’t feel cold, if that makes sense. Big windows – which matters more than you’d think on those dreary New York days. The beds are legitimately comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough space to actually unpack without everything ending up on the floor. What I really appreciated was the attention to small stuff – good lighting for reading, outlets where you actually need them, decent water pressure. The gym is solid if you’re into that, though it gets busy around 7 AM when all the business travelers hit it. Pro tip: go after 9 if you want space to breathe.

Staff-wise, they’ve got that Kimpton training down – friendly without being fake, helpful without hovering. Check-in was smooth even when I showed up early on a Sunday. The lobby gets lively during happy hour, which is either great for meeting people or annoying if you’re trying to decompress – depends on your mood, really. Parking is what you’d expect in Manhattan (expensive and slightly complicated), but the valet crew knows what they’re doing. I ended up walking or taking the subway most places anyway, which is kind of the point of staying in Chelsea.

Look, it’s not cheap – this is a five-star place in Manhattan, so adjust your expectations accordingly. But for what you’re getting, especially the location and the fact that you can actually sleep despite being in one of the busiest parts of the city, it makes sense. The neighborhood has this energy that’s distinctly New York without being overwhelming, and the hotel fits right into that vibe. Whether you’re here for business or just want a solid base for exploring the city, Eventi delivers without trying too hard to impress you.

  We have stayed here before. Centrally located to a lot of attractions.Three restaurants and the pizza in L‘Amico is the best ever! Happy hour every evening and they served really good wines.

  Great hotel lobby with awesome restaurants and vibe. The location was perfect. Close to shops, K-Town and Highline. Staff were great. I paid extra for early check in and we were in our room by 10am which was perfect coming from a red-eye.

  L’Amico was excellent. The front desk was very kind and very welcoming to dogs. They were very helpful with booking a car. Nice wine tasting. I would stay again.

  nice hotel, great location. Our room was on high floor with very good view on empire state building. Room was comfortable, nice design. comfortable bed, good lighting.
  Lobby bar had a good choice of drinks, modern design, friendly staff. Restaurant has specific openings hours which is not really what we are used to, but that might be OK for USA.
