The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad Overview
First Impressions
Walking into The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, you immediately understand why this five-star property commands such respect in New York. The lobby feels like stepping into a sophisticated private club — all rich marble and carefully curated art pieces that somehow manage to feel both grand and intimate. I mean, you’re literally in one of Manhattan’s most dynamic neighborhoods, but the moment those doors close behind you, the city’s chaos just melts away.
The NoMad Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re perfectly positioned between Midtown’s energy and the Village’s charm, right where 28th Street puts you in the sweet spot of everything. The NoMad district has this incredible mix of historic architecture and cutting-edge restaurants that most tourists never discover. You can walk to Madison Square Garden in ten minutes, but you’re also surrounded by some of the city’s best hidden gems. Honestly, couples seem to get this immediately — there’s something romantic about having your own sophisticated corner of Manhattan to explore.
Luxury Accommodations
The room I stayed in was everything you’d expect from Ritz-Carlton’s legendary attention to detail, but with a distinctly New York twist. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the city perfectly, and the marble bathrooms — well, they’re the kind of space where you actually want to linger. What struck me most was how they’ve managed to create this sense of residential luxury while still feeling unmistakably like a hotel experience. The linens are exceptional, and you know what? The lighting actually works for both reading and getting ready, which is rarer than you’d think in luxury hotels.
Dining and Amenities
The breakfast situation here is actually impressive — they’ve got everything from continental classics to proper American options, plus they really understand dietary restrictions with solid vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices. The restaurant showcases that refined approach to hospitality that Ritz-Carlton does so well, though I’d recommend exploring some of the incredible neighborhood spots too. There’s private parking available, which in Manhattan is basically like finding gold — most guests don’t realize how valuable this is until they need it.
Why Guests Love It
Look, there are plenty of luxury hotels in New York, but this one gets the balance right between opulent service and genuine comfort. The staff anticipates what you need without being intrusive, and the spa treatments are the kind that actually help you recover from jet lag or a long day of city exploration. What really sets it apart is how it feels like your own private retreat in the middle of one of the world’s most exciting cities — you get all the energy and culture of New York right outside your door, but you also have this beautifully appointed sanctuary to return to. The location score speaks for itself, but it’s really about having access to authentic New York experiences while enjoying the kind of refined luxury that makes a trip truly memorable.
The luxury concierge service in New York secures penthouse tasting menus, backstage jazz sessions, and helicopter links to Hamptons hideaways.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The staff was wonderfully attentive and thoughtful, the rooms were clean and efficient, and the bed was so comfortable (I spelt great)! Great location, too! Very comfortable, great shower, especially coming in after a late fun night. Very relaxing and private.

Staff was a pleasure. Suite was nice. Bathroom-excellent, bedroom-very good, living/dining room-fair. View from bedroom & bathroom was great. Window and eating area in other room of suite seemed an afterthought. Room service was solid but uninspired. Dinner at Bazaar was lovely. Location was great.
Steve from United States (10/10)
Beautiful property. Staff is so friendly and super clean hotel.
Lee from United States (10/10)
Professionalism, spot-on service and graciousness of staff (particularly Matthew: front desk reception and Joy A: guest relations manager). My wife and I received warm greeting upon arrival (Matthew) and our upgraded room (thanks Joy) was perfectly appointed and the view: magnificent. Enjoyed Nobeluz and Zaytinya (breakfast and dinner).
Derek from South Africa (8/10)
Wonderful hotel with excellent views of the city from the King High Floor suite. Very modern and new. Amazing service and definitely leagues ahead of the Ritz Central Park. Rooftop bar is exceptional with incredible views.
