I mean, when you’re this close to Madison Square Park and the Flatiron Building, you’d better bring your A-game, and this three-star hotel absolutely does.

Location & Neighborhood

Honestly, the location is probably the hotel’s biggest selling point, and that’s saying something. You’re right in the heart of NoMad, which — if you know New York — is one of those neighborhoods that locals actually want to hang out in. Madison Square Park is literally a two-minute walk, and you’ve got the whole Flatiron District at your doorstep. What I love is that you can easily walk to Midtown for work stuff, but you’re far enough south that you don’t feel trapped in the tourist madness. The subway connections are solid too, with multiple lines within a few blocks.

The Rooms

The rooms strike that perfect balance between classic New York charm and modern comfort. They’re not huge — this is Manhattan, after all — but they’re thoughtfully designed with everything you actually need. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are well-appointed without being flashy. You know what I appreciated? The windows actually open, which is rarer than you’d think in the city, and the soundproofing is surprisingly good considering you’re on a busy street.

Breakfast & Amenities

The breakfast setup works really well, especially if you’re the type who likes options. They do both continental and American styles, plus they have this breakfast-to-go option that’s perfect for those mornings when you need to dash off to a meeting or catch an early flight. The parking situation is actually a relief — finding a hotel in this area that offers parking is like striking gold, and it takes so much stress out of a New York trip if you’re driving in from somewhere else.

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both quintessentially New York and genuinely welcoming. The staff seems to understand that travelers want insider knowledge — they’ll point you toward the good coffee shop around the corner or tell you which entrance to use for Madison Square Garden. Couples especially seem to love it here, and I can see why — there’s something romantic about being in this historic part of the city, close enough to everything but still in a neighborhood that feels like real New York. The combination of that prime NoMad location, solid amenities, and reasonable three-star pricing makes it one of those rare finds that you want to keep coming back to.

  Pros: I lived 11 years in NYC and have stayed in several hotels since I moved out–the service in this hotel (front desk–special shoutout to Paola,–room service, waiters, bartenders, housekeeping) is top notch and probably its most memorable asset. I had asked for an early check-in (due to work-related purposes) prior to making my booking and they gave me my room at 8am, which is rarely the case anywhere. The location is great and the décor is stunning. The restaurants and bars are excellent. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. You can control the lighting, TV, and room temperature from an iPad.

  Exceptional facility, great interior design which makes all rooms feel warm and welcoming. However, the most amazing part was the staff, which definitely exceeds expectations that you have even for a good 5 star hotel. Really extraordinary! Restaurant and bar are amazing, and for as long as the inhouse gym is not fully functional (there are a few machines already available), they offer complimentary subscriptions for fitness classes (soulcycle, barrys, etc.). Definitely one of the best 5 star city hotels we have stayed in.
