Homewood Suites Midtown Manhattan Times Square South Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Homewood Suites Midtown Manhattan Times Square South, you immediately get that “oh, this is different” feeling. It’s not trying to be some flashy boutique hotel — instead, it’s got this welcoming, almost residential vibe that honestly feels like a relief after navigating the chaos of New York streets. The lobby has this warm, contemporary design that doesn’t scream tourist trap, which I really appreciated. You know what struck me most? How the staff actually seemed to care about making your stay comfortable, not just checking you in and disappearing.
The Suite Life
Here’s where this three-star property really shines — every room is actually a suite with a separate living area and a full kitchen. I mean, having a real refrigerator and stovetop in Manhattan? That’s practically unheard of at this price point. The beds are genuinely comfortable (and I’m picky about mattresses), plus you get this nice sectional sofa where you can actually spread out and decompress. The bathrooms are clean and modern, nothing fancy but everything works perfectly. What I loved most was having space to breathe — after walking around the city all day, you need somewhere that doesn’t feel like a cramped box.
Location Magic
The location on West 37th Street is honestly perfect for exploring Manhattan without the Times Square madness being right outside your window. You’re close enough to walk to Broadway shows, Madison Square Garden, and all the tourist spots, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. Hell’s Kitchen has become this amazing neighborhood with incredible restaurants and local bars that most tourists never discover. I found myself walking to Bryant Park for morning coffee, and it’s an easy subway ride to anywhere else you want to go.
Morning Fuel
The complimentary breakfast here is actually substantial — we’re talking hot items, not just pastries and coffee. They do both continental and buffet style, so you can grab something quick or sit down for a proper meal before tackling the city. Having breakfast included in Manhattan is like finding a twenty-dollar bill on the sidewalk, and the quality is surprisingly good. The dining area gets busy around 8 AM, but there’s usually space if you go a bit earlier or later.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this place special isn’t any single amenity — it’s how everything works together to make your New York stay less stressful. You’ve got parking available (a miracle in this neighborhood), kitchens so you’re not forced to eat out every meal, and enough space that couples aren’t stepping on each other after a long day of sightseeing. The location score of 9.2 isn’t just a number — it reflects how easy this place makes it to experience the real New York while still having a comfortable retreat. For the price point, you’re getting way more value than most Manhattan hotels deliver.

Fantastic location, you can walk to main places and also the subway is 3 blocks away.
Breakfast was complimentary. Also, there is coffee, hot water and tea available 24/7 in the hotel lobby. Besides that, one evening the hotel offered some extra food for free (fruits, cookies, hot soup) which was extra nice!
The lobby is comfortable to sit down there, you can buy take away food from a close by Deli store (8th Avenue Deli) and eat it at the lobby. I tried the salads and they were healthy and delicious!
I also liked the room, there was a kitchenette, microwave, and basic utensils (glasses, cups, plates, forks, knives, spoons, etc). Very well thought and practical! Also dishwasher soap and a dishwasher machine. Lovely!Janette from United States (8/10)

Traveled to the Homewood Suites Midtown in September with friends. The room with 2 queen beds was spacious enough for the four of us as we could also use a single pull out sofa chair. Even though our room faced the street there was little noise to disturb us. We had the complimentary breakfast and it was as expected; some hot items, toast, bread, cereal offerings. The breakfast area was augmented by an outdoor patio which was helpful as both areas filled up. The staff worked hard to keep the areas clean and stocked all in a friendly manner. Unlike other comments we did not have to wait long for the elevator. The location was convenient as we walked to the theater district, the Hudson Yards and the High Line.
