First Impressions

You really can’t beat this spot on West Broadway — I’m talking about being right in the heart of everything that makes SoHo special. The cobblestone streets, the boutique shopping, those amazing cast-iron buildings, it’s all literally outside your door. What I love is that you’re close enough to walk to Little Italy for dinner or catch the subway to anywhere else in the city, but you’re not dealing with the chaos of Times Square. Couples especially seem to get this location (they rate it incredibly high), and I can see why — there’s something romantic about wandering these historic streets together.

The Room Experience

The rooms have this understated elegance that works really well — think exposed brick, warm lighting, and furniture that actually looks comfortable rather than just photogenic. But honestly, what impressed me most were the beds. I’m usually pretty picky about hotel mattresses, but these are genuinely comfortable — the kind where you actually sleep well instead of just surviving the night. The windows are decent-sized for Manhattan, and if you get a room facing the right direction, you’ll catch glimpses of the neighborhood’s architectural character. The bathrooms are well-designed too, with good water pressure and enough space to spread out your stuff.

The hotel’s restaurant and bar areas have this relaxed sophistication that matches the neighborhood perfectly. You’ll find a mix of hotel guests and locals, which always feels like a good sign to me. The bar especially gets busy in the evenings — it’s become sort of a SoHo institution where you might end up chatting with artists, designers, or just other travelers who know good spots when they see them. Room service is solid too, and they understand that sometimes you just want to eat good food in your comfortable bed after walking around the city all day.

  We have stayed here many times. It is comfortable, chic, and well-located to transit and places of interest. The rooms are attractive and comfortable, and most important, quiet — we never hear noise from other rooms. Staff were very kind and delivered us a complimentary bottle of wine (perhaps due to our long stay, perhaps because it was my birthday — in any case, we felt special and appreciated the wine). One of our favorite things is the breakfast room (in the bar), which is elegant and beautiful; breakfast there is a wonderful way to start the day.

  First of all I was warmly welcomed by the staff in the lobby, special thanks to Marcus which was super patient and lovely. The hotel is very clean and organized, the staff keep their space and work quietly without disturbing the guests.
  The room was super comfortable, big wardrobe, super big comfy bed. There is a desk for people who has laptobs, and awesome filled bar.
  Bathroom very spacious and clean, specially the lighting was perfect.
  Location is close to everything in Soho, also to metro station.
  Loved everything about this hotel. Would come back!
