Moxy Brooklyn Williamsburg Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Moxy Brooklyn Williamsburg feels like stepping into someone’s really cool apartment — if that someone happened to have excellent taste and a serious budget. This four-star hotel on Bedford Avenue doesn’t try to be stuffy or overly polished, which honestly makes it way more appealing than those generic business hotels you usually find. The lobby buzzes with energy, and you can tell right away that this place gets what modern travelers actually want.
Location & Neighborhood
You know what’s great about this spot? You’re literally in the heart of Williamsburg, which means you can walk to some of Brooklyn’s best restaurant, bars, and shops without dealing with subway transfers. I mean, Bedford Avenue is basically the main drag here — you’ve got everything from vintage stores to artisanal coffee shops within a few blocks. The East River waterfront is close enough for morning runs with Manhattan skyline views, and getting into the city is actually pretty straightforward from here. Couples seem to really love this area (they rate it 8.7, which makes total sense when you see how walkable everything is).
The Room Experience
The room design is what I’d call “smart small” — they’ve figured out how to make compact spaces feel functional without being cramped. Everything has a purpose, from the pegboard walls where you can hang stuff to the platform bed that somehow makes the space feel bigger. The tech setup is solid too, with plenty of USB ports and good lighting for actually getting work done. It’s not huge, but honestly, when you’re in Williamsburg, you’re probably not spending much time in your room anyway.
Food & Social Spaces
The breakfast situation is pretty straightforward — they do American-style options and grab-and-go items, which works well if you want to eat while exploring the neighborhood. The real action happens in the common areas though. There’s this great social vibe throughout the hotel, with spaces designed for people to actually hang out rather than just pass through. The bar area gets lively in the evenings, and you’ll often find a mix of hotel guests and locals, which gives you a real sense of the neighborhood’s energy.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it balances being a proper hotel with feeling like you’re staying somewhere that actually belongs in Brooklyn. The staff gets the local scene — they’ll point you toward the good stuff without making you feel like a tourist. Recent guests consistently rate the location highly (8.8 out of 10), and after spending time here, I totally understand why. It’s one of those places where the hotel enhances your Brooklyn experience rather than just providing a place to sleep. Plus, the whole Moxy brand thing works here because it matches the neighborhood’s creative, unpretentious vibe perfectly.

Modern nice rooms, comfortable beds and a nice shower.
Staff was friendly. There are lots of restaurants and small supermarkets down the street. The 10 min walk to the subway is doable. Breakfast was very simple. Would stay here again.Marcos from Brazil (7/10)

I think the location of this hotel was ideal. It was near a lot of different food and drinks where you can literally walk to without stressing about driving or taking public transportation. The beds were really comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly as well.
Martin from Netherlands (8/10)
Very well located and the rooms are super efficient. There is enough space under the bed to store 2 large suitcases and loads of hangers. We spend 6 nights. The area is great with loads of good restaurants, bars and shops. You can reach Manhattan by underground or just walk/bike across the bridge😇

Facility itself is clean and nice. Live DJ at bar which is nice. Rooms are small as expected in NY, but still functional and I love how they separated the toilet room from shower. Location was great. Branzino and cocktails were amazing
