I mean, you walk in and there’s no marble-heavy lobby screaming “look how expensive we are.” Instead, it’s got this warm, lived-in sophistication that makes you want to linger over coffee in the morning rather than rush out to your meetings. The rooms — and I’ve been in a few different ones over various visits — strike that perfect balance between intimate and spacious, which is no small feat when you’re dealing with Village real estate. What really won me over though was the attention to details you don’t expect: the lighting actually works for reading (shocking, I know), and the blackout curtains are proper blackout curtains, not those flimsy things that let in every streetlight.

Here’s what nobody tells you about this location — yes, you’re right on the Hudson River path, which sounds like it could be noisy, but it’s actually the opposite. The foot traffic is mostly joggers and dog walkers, not delivery trucks or honking cabs, so you get this surprisingly peaceful vibe especially in the early mornings. Plus, you’re a legitimate five-minute walk to some of the best coffee in the city (I’m talking about Birch Coffee on 8th Avenue, not the tourist traps). The staff seems to actually live in New York, which matters more than you’d think — they know which subway entrance to avoid during rush hour and where to grab decent takeout when room service feels too formal. Parking is… well, it’s the Village, so manage your expectations, but the valet situation is smoother than most places I’ve dealt with. Check-in has always been quick for me, even during busy periods, though I’d probably avoid arriving during UN General Assembly week when half of Manhattan turns into a logistics nightmare anyway.

  Great location on the Edge of West Village. The building is pretty new, and the apartment is well furnished and equiped. The bed was super comfortable.
