The rooms themselves are well thought out, not huge but designed smartly so you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around. The beds are genuinely comfortable, and here’s something that matters more than people admit – the windows actually block out most of the street noise, which is no small feat when you’re basically in the heart of Manhattan. I slept better than I expected, even with all the usual city sounds filtering up from 2nd Avenue.

Location-wise, you’re in that sweet spot where you can walk to Grand Central in about ten minutes (seriously useful if you’re catching Metro-North or just want food court options), but you’re also close enough to hop over to the UN area or duck into some of those quieter side streets when Midtown gets overwhelming. The 4 and 6 trains are right there, which honestly makes getting around so much easier than being stuck relying on cabs all the time. I found myself walking to Bryant Park for lunch one day, Times Square when I had to (you know how it is), and even made it to the East River for an evening walk – everything felt accessible without being chaotic. The neighborhood gets busy during rush hour, sure, but it settles down nicely in the evenings. One small thing that impressed me – they have actual recommendations for dinner spots that aren’t just the overpriced tourist traps, and when I tried their suggestion for this little Italian place a few blocks over, it was exactly the kind of unpretentious gem you hope to stumble across. For what you get – solid service, comfortable rooms, and a location that actually works for exploring the city – Little Charlie delivers without trying too hard to be something it’s not.

  Everything about our stay was perfect! The staff were so friendly and accommodating (our room was ready for early check in and they even gave us extra free water), the rooms are complete with everything you could need and are SO cozy, clean, modern, and chic, the rooftop is so cool and really well set up for a cozy place to hang out…and to top it off, the whole place smells fantastic. Really sweet breakfast spread, easy check-in and check out, and PERFECT location to get anywhere in the city! Definitely worth the price for an epic stay in the heart of NYC.

  Little Charlie is in a great location, within walking distance of attractions and transport links. Bed was super comfy and the towels were so fluffy. Both staff members on reception were welcoming and friendly. Room size was small but more than adequate if you are a solo traveller or planning on spending majority of the time out. The hotel is decorated to a modern standard and is fresh and clean. Breakfast was a selection of muffins and pastries, enough to grab and go on the way out in the morning.
