The building itself sits on 26th Street – and I mean right in the sweet spot where you can walk to Madison Square Garden in about eight minutes, but you’re also just a few blocks from some of the best Korean BBQ spots on 32nd Street that most visitors never discover.

The lobby has this modern, polished feel that honestly feels more boutique than typical Hilton chain vibes. Check-in was smooth when I was there (granted, it was a Tuesday afternoon), and the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood when I asked about dinner recommendations. My room was on the 12th floor facing west, and while it wasn’t huge – this is Manhattan, after all – it felt thoughtfully designed. The bed was genuinely comfortable, and I appreciated that the blackout curtains actually worked. You can hear some street noise if you’re a light sleeper, but it’s more city hum than honking chaos. The bathroom was clean and modern, though the shower pressure was just okay.

What I really loved was the location’s versatility. You’re literally a ten-minute walk from the High Line entrance at 26th Street, and if you head east toward Park Avenue, you hit some fantastic coffee shops and that whole NoMad area that’s become such a food scene. The subway access is solid too – 28th Street station on the R and W lines is right there, plus you can easily walk to Herald Square if you need more train options. I found myself using the hotel as a perfect base for exploring different neighborhoods without feeling stuck in any one touristy bubble. The front desk actually gave me a neighborhood map with handwritten notes, which felt refreshingly personal. Honestly, for a 4-star property with a 7.7 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d expect – solid comfort, professional service, and a location that lets you experience New York like someone who actually lives here rather than just visiting the obvious spots.
