It’s actually tucked away on Avenue of the Americas in a spot where you feel like you’re in the thick of Midtown without the absolute chaos of Times Square breathing down your neck. I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to all the touristy stuff, but when you step outside, you’re not immediately assaulted by Elmo costumes and ticket hawkers.

The lobby has this sort of understated vibe – not trying too hard to impress, which honestly felt refreshing after seeing so many hotels that scream “LOOK HOW FANCY WE ARE” the second you walk in. The staff behind the desk actually seemed to know what they were doing during check-in, no fumbling around or putting you on hold while they figure out basic questions. Now, it’s definitely a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble everything and gold-plated door handles, but the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable enough that you’ll actually sleep well after walking 20,000 steps around the city. The bathrooms are compact (this is New York, after all) but functional, and the water pressure is decent – which matters more than you think when you’ve spent the day subway-hopping and dodging sidewalk puddles.

Here’s the thing that really works about this location – you’re right there near Central Park South, so you can actually escape the concrete jungle when you need to breathe. Plus, you’re walking distance to some solid food options that aren’t just overpriced tourist traps. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet at night, which is honestly a minor miracle in this part of Manhattan. I noticed the elevators can be a bit slow during peak hours, and the walls aren’t exactly soundproof, so you might hear your neighbors if they’re having a particularly animated phone conversation. But honestly, for the price point and that 8.7 rating, it delivers on what it promises. It’s one of those places where you can tell the management actually cares about the guest experience without trying to be something they’re not. Perfect for travelers who want to stay somewhere reliable and well-located without paying those insane boutique hotel prices that make your credit card weep.

  Both myself and my Partner enjoyed staying in this hotel. Room was spacious and with a nice view to the city. Bed was huge and very comfy. Also, it was quiet and there was no sound coming from other rooms which help us to relax. Water pressure in the shower was good too and no issues with water temperature even when you want to take a shower in the middle of the night. 🙂 location was very central, almost at Time Square. Well done Hilton, you have never disappointed me! <3

  Location is fabulous (though beware the nearest subway station is not very accessible if you have heavy bags!). The rooms are large (especially by NYC standards) and I even scored a fabulous view, which was a real treat. Would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. Bed was comfortable, wifi was good.

  1. You should ready that it is a huge building with 3 separate hotels inside (Hilton Club is on floors from 37th), so there are a lot of people and lines for check-in, luggage storage and check out.
  2. Great surprise for our anniversary ( champagne, strawberry, postcard, juice). Thank you once again 3. Special thanks to Mosies on Reception – he gave us a great view room & prepare surprise for our Anniversary.

  It is very central to the “tourist” sites. Easily walked to Central Park, Rockefeller Centre, Time Square, etc….Very nice Hotel/condos. Nice sized rooms. Friendly and professional staff. We would recommend this property to others and would stay again.

  Everything and Everybody at this Hotel could not have been better. There was even a special check in on the 37th floor. I would LOVE to do this again. Corey was the best check in person I have ever had and I AM a check in person at Walt Disney World. I would know this. Loved it!!!!
