Gorgeous Victorian House!! Entire suite in SAM’s home Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Gorgeous Victorian House!! Entire suite in SAM’s home on Beverley Road, you immediately get why this place has such a devoted following. I mean, it’s not every day you find a genuine Victorian that’s been lovingly maintained in this part of Brooklyn — and honestly, the character just hits you right away. The ornate details and period features make it feel like you’re stepping into something special, not just another cookie-cutter rental.
The Suite Experience
What really sets this three-star property apart is that you’re getting an entire suite to yourself, which is pretty rare for the price point. The room has this wonderful blend of Victorian charm and modern comfort that actually works — I was worried it might feel stuffy or overdone, but Sam has struck the right balance. You know what surprised me most? The space feels genuinely private even though you’re staying in someone’s home. The layout gives you plenty of breathing room, and you’re not constantly bumping into your host or feeling like you’re intruding.
Brooklyn Neighborhood Vibes
The location on Beverley Road puts you right in the heart of a residential Brooklyn neighborhood that feels authentically local — none of that touristy stuff you get closer to Manhattan. You’ll find yourself walking past tree-lined streets where actual families live, and there’s something refreshing about that. The subway connections are solid (the Q train is your friend here), and you can get into Manhattan without too much hassle. Plus, there are some genuinely good local spots for coffee and food that you’d never find unless you were staying in a neighborhood like this.
What Makes It Work
Sam clearly knows what he’s doing as a host — the 9.6 location rating from recent guests doesn’t happen by accident. The house itself has been thoughtfully updated while keeping all those Victorian details that make it special. I appreciated that the common areas feel welcoming without being intrusive, and there’s a sense that this is someone’s actual home, not just a business venture. The whole setup works particularly well for couples (which explains why they rate it so highly), since you get that romantic Victorian atmosphere without sacrificing modern conveniences.
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, it comes down to authenticity — this feels like a real Brooklyn experience rather than a sanitized hotel stay. The combination of historical character, genuine neighborhood setting, and Sam’s attention to detail creates something you can’t really replicate in a standard hotel. Sure, it’s not going to have a concierge or room service, but that’s sort of the point. You’re getting a taste of what it’s actually like to live in Brooklyn, in a beautiful Victorian house, with someone who clearly cares about making sure you have a good time. For couples especially, there’s something undeniably romantic about the whole experience that keeps people coming back.

Hosts were friendly, responsive, and present while respecting our privacy, too.
The location is great and the place feels luxurious with the kitchen and restroom.Amyirl from Ireland (8/10)
We had a really nice stay here. Accommodation was warm and clean, with comfortable beds. Really well located with easy access to subway and shops / restaurants nearby (shout out to wheated which was delicious). Lot of space and nice cooking facilities with a large kitchen and tea/coffee complimentary.

Perfect timing and we were welcomed and given a tour. Our son lives in Brooklyn and this was a GREAT location. Love the updated kitchen and bathroom. We had Thanksgiving dinner and had to bring some dishes from our son’s place but the kitchen was lovely to cook in. Super convenient to subway, groceries, coffee and Prospect park.

This is a complete scam. The pictures were stock, and made it look amazing. It was jenky from the beginning…smelled of the food cooking on the main floor and was a filthy staircase leading to the third floor. I thought,"Wow,they must have just put all of their money into the rental unit." Then he opened the door to what looked and smelled like a dank youth hostel. There was a smear of something on the floor that had the consistency of chocolate pudding…. When I pointed it out, the host shrugged and used his shoes to blend it into the floor… He looked apologetic, but also seemed to expect our response. The place was obviously a bait and switch and his claim to reimburse us was hard to believe when accompanied by his thinly veiled Cheshire cat smirk as we handed him back the keys.

Several restaurants nearby, 7-11 within 2 blocks. Apartment was exceptionally clean, and up to date. Unique Shower, all appliances functioning. Coffee and tea available.

Huge, renovated kitchen! Renovated bathroom. Comfortable beds. Piano was a nice touch! Convenient location and more than enough space for me and my parents. Very easy to check-in and out.
