You’re close enough to Times Square that you can walk there (about 10 minutes), but far enough away that you won’t hear the chaos at night. The subway access is fantastic too — multiple lines within a few blocks, so getting anywhere in the city is straightforward.

The Rooms

The rooms at this four-star property are what I’d call smartly designed rather than spacious — this is Manhattan, after all, so every square foot counts. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms are clean and functional with decent water pressure. You know what I appreciated? The work desk actually works for getting things done, and there are enough outlets positioned where you need them. The soundproofing is better than I expected for a hotel right in the heart of everything, though you’ll still get some street noise if you’re a really light sleeper.

Practical Perks

The fitness center is small but has the essentials, and it’s usually not crowded — apparently most guests are too busy exploring the city. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby, which sounds touristy but is actually clutch when you need coffee before 7 AM and don’t want to wander the streets. The business center and meeting spaces work well if you’re mixing work with your stay. What I found most useful was the 24-hour front desk — they’re surprisingly knowledgeable about restaurant recommendations and can help with theater tickets without the usual runaround.

This hotel gets an excellent location score of 9.1, and after staying here, I totally understand why. It’s that rare combination of being in the thick of things without feeling like you’re trapped in tourist central.   The location is perfect, 2min to Bryant park and major attractions, also with metro and bus stop very close. The personnel were very nice and answered all of our queries and even helped us to book a transfer to the airport. The room is as advertised, not very big but for new York and the price was good.
