Cabana Hotel Yankee Stadium Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Cabana Hotel Yankee Stadium, you immediately know this isn’t trying to be something it’s not. This three-star property sits right on Sedgwick Avenue in the Bronx, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. The building has this straightforward, no-nonsense vibe that I actually found refreshing after staying at places that oversell themselves. You know what really caught my attention though? The parking situation — they’ve got free private spots, which is basically gold in New York City.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in the Bronx — you’re close enough to Manhattan that it doesn’t feel like you’re in another world, but far enough that you get a real taste of New York beyond the tourist bubble. The hotel is literally a stone’s throw from Yankee Stadium, so if you’re here for a game, you’ve hit the jackpot. I mean, you can walk there in minutes. The subway connections aren’t bad either, and you’ll save a fortune compared to Midtown hotels. Plus, there’s something kind of cool about staying where actual New Yorkers live and work.
The Room Experience
Look, the room isn’t going to blow you away with fancy amenities, but it’s clean, comfortable, and has everything you actually need. The beds are decent — I slept well, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed. What I appreciated was that everything worked properly. The AC kicked in when it should, the shower had good pressure, and the WiFi didn’t cut out every five minutes. Sometimes that’s all you really want after a long day exploring the city.
The Repeat Guest Factor
There’s something telling about a place when people keep coming back, and apparently that’s exactly what happens here. The staff mentioned they see a lot of familiar faces, especially couples who’ve figured out this spot works for them. I get it — once you find a place that delivers on its promises without the pretense, why mess with a good thing? The service feels more personal because of this, like they actually remember preferences and little details that matter.
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, this hotel succeeds because it knows exactly what it is. You’re not paying for marble lobbies or a fancy restaurant, but you’re getting solid value in a city where that’s increasingly rare. The free parking alone probably saves you $40-50 a night compared to other options. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the straightforward approach — no hidden fees, no overselling, just a clean, safe place to crash that won’t break the bank. If you’re the type who’d rather spend money on experiences in the city instead of an overpriced hotel room, this place makes a lot of sense.
Hotels in New York tower over skyline rooftops, leafy brownstone lanes, and waterfront promenades.

Staff was friendly, The parking was awesome, the room was cold if you go in the room set the ac to 88 and you will get a 75 degree room (in the winter)so please tread accordingly, the room had cool upgrades that were temu worthy, also didn’t like how there was a 50 dollar fee too check in early even though the room had already been cleaned (floor was recently mopped when I went in which I had no issue with) hotels normally don’t charge for early check in they just normally check if the room is clean or not if not they the person has to wait if so you can check in early with NO Fee, I know it’s 50$ but it’s a bad taste for people especially if you want returning customers microwave in the hallway was cool, mini fridge in room didn’t work so wasted my takeout lol overall the hotel is
