Okay, so the rooms aren’t huge — this is Manhattan, after all — but they’re incredibly well-designed. Every inch serves a purpose, and somehow it doesn’t feel cramped at all. The floor-to-ceiling windows are a game-changer, especially if you snag one of the higher floors with city views. The bed is surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom has this rain shower that’s perfect after walking around the city all day. There’s actually decent storage space, which you don’t always get in four-star hotels in this neighborhood.

The rooftop situation here is pretty special — you get these panoramic views of the city that make you feel like you’re in a movie. It’s become quite the scene in the evenings, but during the day it’s this peaceful escape from the chaos below. The fitness center is compact but has everything you need, and honestly, the whole vibe throughout the hotel strikes this nice balance between upscale and relaxed. You don’t feel like you need to dress up just to walk through the lobby, but you also feel like you’re staying somewhere special.

  I read the reviews and it sold me. The location is perfect. Close to everything but tucked away so the noise level is not bad at all. In fact it’s quiet at night! The hotel is beautiful, decorated perfectly and so functional and comfortable. The staff could not have been nicer and so helpful. They look like they enjoy their jobs. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas too. The food was outstanding. I cannot wait to go back!

  I particularly want to thank Mark, Richard and Jason for being so helpful when I lost a special momento that I bought as a souvenir and got personalised in Maceys. I had already left newyork when I realised it was gone. And I was very upset as this was a momento of our honeymoon . I called Arlo to see iff i left it the room but it wasn't there. They then went to maceys and got me an exact replica of the one I lost and posted it on to me. Service over and beyond what I expected. Thank you so much everyone for an Absolutely awesome honeymoon

  A beautiful property, wonderful staff and a location that's close to everything. The little cafe downstairs makes delicious coffee and has a nice selection of snacks. Check in was easy, many elevators made room access fast.
