New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the New York LaGuardia Airport Marriott, you immediately notice how they’ve managed to create something that feels more like a proper hotel than your typical airport crash pad. The lobby has that polished Marriott look — you know, the kind where business travelers feel at home but families don’t feel out of place either. What struck me most was how quiet it actually is inside, considering you’re literally minutes from one of the busiest airports in the country.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in Queens near LaGuardia — it’s not Manhattan, but that’s honestly not always a bad thing. This four-star hotel sits right on Ditmars Boulevard, and while that might not sound glamorous, it puts you in an interesting spot. You’re close enough to the airport that early morning flights don’t require a 5 AM wake-up call, but you’re also in a real neighborhood with actual New Yorkers going about their lives. The parking situation here is refreshingly straightforward too — they’ve got spots available, which is more than you can say for most places in the city.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from Marriott — clean, comfortable, and designed by someone who actually travels for work. The beds are solid (I mean really solid — none of that saggy hotel mattress nonsense), and the windows do a decent job of keeping airport noise to a minimum. What I appreciated most was the workspace setup — there’s actually enough surface area to spread out your laptop and papers without having to clear off the coffee maker and promotional materials first.
Dining & Amenities
The breakfast situation here is pretty straightforward American fare — think eggs, bacon, pancakes, the usual suspects. Nothing fancy, but it’s well-executed and fills you up before a long travel day. The restaurant on-site handles dinner too, which is honestly convenient when you’re dealing with flight delays or just don’t feel like venturing out into Queens to find food. I’ve stayed at airport hotels where the dining feels like an afterthought, but they seem to actually care about the food quality here.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it handles the airport hotel concept without feeling like you’re sleeping in a terminal. Couples seem to particularly appreciate it — and I can see why, since it strikes that balance between practical and pleasant. The staff knows their stuff when it comes to flight schedules and transportation, which matters more than you might think when you’re dealing with LaGuardia’s notorious delays. It’s the kind of place where you can actually get a good night’s sleep before flying out, rather than just surviving until your departure time.

Close to airport, easy to get into Manhattan, great centralized location. Even though our room faced the airport, it was very quiet.

The breakfast was the only thing I didn't really like. Next time I'll grab something outside the hotel. The price was good but… What I really liked was the staff, the convenience to LaGuardia, and that dinner was served late. Since the pandemic a lot of hotels no longer have a lot of service for food.

Very nice room, well maintained and spacious. We were only there for the night, on the tail end of an overseas trip, so we didn't venture out. Free shuttle service to the airport was nice.
Kelly from United States (8/10)
The hotel was clean and convenient to the airport. The shuttle service was really helpful, they picked us up right at our terminal and dropped us off there once we were ready to leave. The staff were great. We were in for a show, they asked us questions, were interested, very nice to talk to.
