Comfort Inn Prospect Park-Brooklyn Overview
First Impressions
Honestly, when I first pulled up to Comfort Inn Prospect Park-Brooklyn, I wasn’t expecting much — it’s a three-star property on 20th Street, and the neighborhood around it is pretty no-frills industrial Brooklyn. But that’s kind of the point. It’s straightforward, clean, and does exactly what it promises without any pretense. You’re not here for a grand lobby experience; you’re here because you want a solid base to actually explore the city.
Location & Neighborhood
The location is genuinely one of the stronger selling points here. You’re sitting right on the edge of the Sunset Park neighborhood, which — if you haven’t been — is one of those real, lived-in Brooklyn pockets that most tourists completely miss. Prospect Park itself is just a short ride away, and the waterfront isn’t far either. Couples especially seem to click with this spot, and I get why — it’s got that slightly off-the-beaten-path feel that makes a trip feel more like an adventure than a checklist.
Getting Around
One thing worth knowing: this part of Brooklyn isn’t as subway-dense as, say, Williamsburg or Park Slope, so you’ll want to plan your transit a little. That said, the hotel does offer private parking on site, which — if you’re driving into New York City — is actually a bigger deal than it sounds. Parking in NYC is its own special kind of stress, and having a guaranteed spot removes one headache entirely. If you’re renting a car or road-tripping in, this alone might tip the decision for you.
The Room & Morning Routine
Rooms are what you’d expect from a well-maintained three-star — nothing that’ll blow your mind, but comfortable, tidy, and functional. The beds are decent, the AC works, and there’s enough space to not feel like you’re living out of your suitcase. Breakfast is a grab-and-go situation, which I actually appreciate — you’re not stuck waiting around for a sit-down meal when you’ve got a full day of city exploring ahead of you. Grab something, get out, go see things.
Why Guests Love It
The overall guest rating sits at 7.7, which for a budget-friendly Brooklyn stay is pretty respectable — and the location score nudges up to 8.0, which tells you something real about how guests feel once they’re actually there. I mean, New York can eat your travel budget alive if you’re not careful, and the Comfort Inn Prospect Park-Brooklyn gives you a way to stay in an authentic Brooklyn neighborhood without the inflated price tag of trendier areas. It’s the kind of place that works best when you treat it as a launchpad — you sleep well, grab your coffee to go, and spend your money on the city itself. That’s honestly a pretty smart way to do New York.

The breakfast was good….it was a plus. The property was very clean but, the space in the room was very small. The front desk agent, Hailey was awesome!! Overall it was a good stay!! I would recommend 8/10.

The hotel is quiet inside. The beds were comfortable and the room was serviced daily. The coffee machine is good. Breakfast was a bit crowded but there was plenty of choice including some hot elements and waffles. The lifts are efficient and large.
There is a subway station about 4 minutes walk away with frequent trains to central manhattan.Alina from United States (7/10)
