New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, you immediately get that “serious business hotel” vibe — and I mean that in the best way possible. The lobby feels polished without being stuffy, and honestly, the location hits you right away. You’re literally steps from the Brooklyn Bridge, which sounds touristy until you realize how perfectly positioned this puts you for exploring both Brooklyn and Manhattan. It’s a four-star property that knows exactly what it’s doing. The neighborhood offers an ideal balance of accessibility and authentic urban experience.
The Brooklyn Bridge Connection
Here’s what I love about staying here — you can walk to the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade in about three minutes, maybe less if you’re a fast walker. That means you get those iconic skyline views without fighting the crowds that swarm the Manhattan side. The restaurant scene in DUMBO is right at your doorstep too, and you know what? Having Brooklyn Bridge Park so close means you actually have green space to decompress, which is rarer than you’d think in this part of the city. The waterfront location provides unparalleled access to some of the city’s most sought-after dining and entertainment venues.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was on the 15th floor — nothing fancy, but clean lines and that reliable Marriott comfort you expect. The windows are big enough to give you decent views, and if you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the bridge or the Manhattan skyline. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. The bathroom was modern, well-lit, and had good water pressure — small things that matter when you’re dealing with New York pace. Guest accommodations consistently deliver on quality and functionality.
Breakfast and Practical Stuff
Breakfast here covers all the bases — continental, vegetarian, vegan, American options, plus they do breakfast to go if you’re rushing to catch the subway. I appreciated having choices beyond the usual hotel continental spread. Parking is available, which honestly surprised me given the location — that’s a real win if you’re driving into the city. The staff seems to know their neighborhood well too, so don’t hesitate to ask for recommendations beyond the obvious tourist spots. These practical amenities make extended stays particularly appealing.
Why Guests Love It
The location rating speaks for itself — couples especially seem to get it, rating it 8.7 for romantic trips. I can see why. You’re close enough to Manhattan that you can walk across the bridge for dinner, but you’re staying in Brooklyn where things feel a bit more relaxed and authentic. The subway connections from here are solid, so you’re not stuck in one area. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing real New York without sacrificing comfort or convenience. This property successfully captures the essence of what makes Brooklyn an increasingly desirable destination for travelers.

Location was good, it was about 30 minutes on the subway (2 stations right nearby the hotel) into the city but it was nice to be out of the craziness of Manhattan. The staff were all lovely and the room and hotel were always very clean. The beds were super comfy and our room was very spacious and quiet. There were lots of food options and stores within walking distance.

Room size is good for 3 persons.
Location is also good, many restaurants and cafe nearby.
