You know what hit me first walking into the Hilton Club The Quin? It doesn’t feel like a typical Hilton at all – and I mean that in the best way possible. This place sits right on 57th between Fifth and Sixth, which honestly puts you in this perfect sweet spot where you’re close enough to Central Park that you can actually walk there without breaking a sweat, but far enough from the Times Square chaos that you won’t hear those tour buses rumbling by at 6 AM.

The lobby has this sort of boutique hotel vibe that caught me off guard – there’s actual art on the walls (not hotel art, like real pieces), and the whole space feels more intimate than what you’d expect from a big chain. I stayed here during Fashion Week once, and you could tell the staff was used to handling the creative crowd – they just rolled with all the garment bags and late-night comings and goings without batting an eye. The rooms themselves are surprisingly spacious for Manhattan, which… well, let’s be honest, that’s not saying much, but you can actually open your suitcase without having to put it on the bed. The windows are solid too – I was worried about street noise being right on 57th, but it’s actually pretty quiet, especially on the higher floors.

What really sells this place for me is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’ve got Carnegie Hall literally around the corner (you can hear people warming up sometimes if you’re on the right side of the building), and all those great little spots on 58th Street are right there – Joe Allen for dinner, Russian Tea Room if you’re feeling fancy, or just grab coffee from Gregory’s and walk through the park. The subway situation is perfect too – you’re equidistant from the N/Q/R at 57th and the F at 57th, so getting around is actually easy. I’ve noticed they get a lot of business travelers during the week since you’re so close to all the Midtown offices, but weekends it shifts to more leisure folks hitting the museums and shows. Check-in is usually smooth, though I’d recommend calling ahead if you’re arriving before 3 PM – they’re good about early check-in but it’s not guaranteed. One small thing that bugged me – the elevators can be slow during peak times, but honestly, that’s pretty much every hotel in the city. The staff genuinely seems to know the area well too, which is rarer than you’d think – ask them about restaurant recommendations and you’ll get actual opinions, not just whatever corporate partnership they’re supposed to push.

  Every staff member we met was consistently hospitable. The doorman was helpful to suggest that we check if our room was ready, rather than check our bags in. We were pleasantly surprised. The front desk found us a room that was available. The room exceeded our expectations. It was much larger than the usual hotel room. Additionally, they accommodated our late checkout. We will definitely be back next year !!

  The hotel is in the heart of midtown with great access to all the high end shops. We were able to walk to Rockefeller Center for the tree lighting as well as Radio City Music Hall for the rockettes show. Staff friendly and room was very clean. My daughter and I felt safe and enjoyed our time here at The Quin.

  Everything! Perfect location to get around the city and very close to Central Park. We had a good view of the Thanksgiving Day parade! Walking distance to The Brooklyn Diner, and The Burger Joint (hidden behind the red curtains) inside the Thompson Hotel. The coffee maker was amazing, daily bottled water, and refrigerator. The housekeeping staff was extremely accommodating and pleasant, especially Zuka! She is wonderful!
