Millennium Premier New York Times Square Overview
Look, I’ll be straight with you about the Millennium Premier on 44th Street – it’s one of those hotels that sits right in the thick of Times Square madness without being completely overwhelmed by it. When you walk out the front door, you’re literally steps from the TKTS booth and all that Broadway chaos, but somehow when you’re inside, the noise dies down to a manageable hum rather than that constant street-level assault your ears usually get in this part of town.
The thing that struck me most about this place is how they’ve managed to feel like an actual hotel rather than just another tourist processing center. I mean, don’t get me wrong – you’re still going to see families with matching I❤️NY t-shirts in the lobby, but the staff actually seems to know what they’re doing, and check-in was surprisingly smooth even during what I’m pretty sure was peak theater season. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid four-star in this neighborhood – not huge (this is Manhattan, after all), but thoughtfully laid out with decent blackout curtains that actually work. Trust me, that matters when you’ve got those massive LED billboards basically beaming into your window all night. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress, which honestly can’t be said for every hotel in Times Square.
What I really appreciated was how they’ve positioned themselves for people who actually want to experience the city rather than just survive it. You’re a two-minute walk from the 42nd Street subway station, which means you can disappear into the rest of Manhattan whenever the Times Square thing gets to be too much. And it will get to be too much – that’s just the nature of staying here. But there’s something to be said for being able to duck into Bryant Park for some quiet (it’s right there behind the library), or grab decent coffee at one of the non-chain spots along 6th Avenue without having to plan a whole expedition. The hotel restaurant is fine – nothing that’ll change your life, but perfectly adequate for those mornings when you can’t face the prospect of hunting down breakfast in the tourist scrum outside. Honestly, the 7.3 rating feels about right. It’s not going to be the highlight of your New York trip, but it won’t be the thing you complain about either. It does what it needs to do in a location that’s both a blessing and a curse, depending on what you’re after.

Reviews of Millennium Premier New York Times Square
Leanne from New Zealand (8/10)
Location location location – super close to everything: restaurants, theatres, stores, subway. The room was as I expected. A good size with all the basic amenities. Compliments to house cleaning who did a wonderful job, also really efficient and unassuming. The reception staff and bell hop were courteous and really helpful booking my taxi and with my luggage. My room was right next to the lifts and there was some noise from people in the corridor and a little bit of noise from the elevator in the bathroom, but nothing obtrusive. Overall the hotel felt safe.

The hotel is mere steps from the center of Times Square. Of my multiple trips to NYC, this is the closest I have stayed to the heart of Times Square. The staff were friendly and the room itself was clean and comfortable. My son and I slept well. After visiting local attractions, each day, we returned to a clean room with trash removed and clean towels in the bathroom.

Excellent location. Big and clean room with decent facilities. New bottles of water daily. Decent breakfast to takeaway with you.

The heat was not working and water was running in the toilet in room#2124. Reported it the first day and was not taking care off.

Great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and decent size for NYC. The gym is pretty nice, especially if all the machines are working. Elevators are actually relatively quick
