Eurostars Wall Street Overview
You know what struck me first about the Eurostars Wall Street? It’s tucked away on Front Street in this surprisingly quiet pocket of the Financial District – honestly, I was expecting way more chaos being so close to everything. The building itself has this understated elegance that feels very New York without trying too hard, if that makes sense.
What really won me over was how the staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood. When I asked about dinner spots, the concierge didn’t just rattle off the usual tourist traps – he pointed me toward this fantastic little Italian place on Stone Street (which, by the way, becomes this amazing cobblestone party zone on weekends). The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 4-star – comfortable beds, decent space for Manhattan standards, and bathrooms that actually have counter space for your stuff. I mean, you’re not getting a palatial suite here, but everything works well and feels thoughtfully designed. The AC was refreshingly quiet too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep off jet lag.
Location-wise, this place is kind of perfect if you’re doing the classic New York thing. You can walk to the Brooklyn Bridge in about five minutes – and I’m talking a leisurely stroll, not a power walk. The subway’s right there too; the R and W trains at Whitehall are literally around the corner, so getting uptown is dead simple. What surprised me was how peaceful it gets at night. Sure, you’ve got Wall Street energy during the day, but once the financial crowd clears out around 7 PM, the whole area mellows out considerably. There’s something almost village-like about wandering these historic streets after dark. Parking is typically Manhattan brutal, but honestly, you don’t need a car here – everything’s walkable or a quick subway ride away. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, which initially seemed like a drawback, but there’s so much good food within a few blocks that it hardly matters. Stone Street’s got everything from casual pubs to upscale dining, and the whole South Street Seaport area has been really revitalized lately. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if you want to be in the thick of things but still be able to retreat somewhere that doesn’t feel like Times Square chaos. Just book early if you’re coming during summer – this area gets discovered more every year.

Location. Basic comfort. Cleanliness. Engaged, professional, helpful staff. Proximity to subway stations. Eating establishments nearby. Quiet. Responsiveness of staff to an issue with our initial room (an inoperable sleeper sofa that we needed to use; we were relocated to another room). Beds were comfortable. Shower was comfortable. Room and bathroom were clean.
Luigi from Italy (8/10)
Clean, cheap (for Ny standard), silent though men at work outside. Internet excellent. But most of all the staff: anyone would need to be mentioned, but I wanna talk in particular about Facundo and Melisa, that helped me when I had some problems, but they did it not only because it’s their job: I felt human warness in their actions and in their smile. Anyway lovely staff in the whole.
