Tru By Hilton Brooklyn Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Tru By Hilton Brooklyn, you immediately get that fresh, modern vibe that Hilton’s newer brand does so well. The lobby feels bright and energetic — honestly, it’s a nice change from some of the stuffier hotels you’ll find around the city. This three-star property sits right on President Street in Park Slope, and I mean, the location alone makes it worth considering if you want to experience Brooklyn without feeling completely disconnected from Manhattan.
The Neighborhood Advantage
Here’s what I love about staying here — you’re actually in one of Brooklyn’s most walkable neighborhoods. Park Slope has this perfect mix of tree-lined streets, great coffee shops, and that authentic Brooklyn feel without being too hipster-pretentious about it. The subway is close enough that getting into Manhattan takes maybe 20-30 minutes, but honestly, you might find yourself wanting to stick around the area. There’s Prospect Park just a few blocks away, and the dining scene along Fifth Avenue is really solid.
Room Experience
The room itself is what you’d expect from a modern Hilton property — clean lines, everything works as it should, and the bed is actually comfortable (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given). The space feels efficiently designed rather than cramped, though don’t expect a massive suite or anything. What I appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night, even being on a fairly busy street. The WiFi is reliable, and there are plenty of outlets if you’re traveling with multiple devices. Each room features modern amenities and thoughtful design elements.
Breakfast and Amenities
The breakfast setup here is pretty decent — they do a continental spread with American and vegetarian options, plus it’s buffet-style so you can actually get what you want without waiting around. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s fresh and there’s enough variety to keep most people happy. The parking situation is honestly a huge plus if you’re driving — having private parking at the hotel in Brooklyn is not something you should take for granted. Trust me on that one. The on-site facilities make this property particularly convenient for guests with vehicles.
Why Guests Love It
What really stands out is how couples seem to gravitate toward this place — and after staying here, I get it. The neighborhood has this romantic, residential feel that’s perfect for exploring together, plus you’re not dealing with the chaos of Midtown Manhattan. The location consistently gets high marks from guests, and honestly, that makes sense when you consider you’re getting Brooklyn authenticity with easy access to everything else. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing the real New York while still having all the reliability of a solid hotel chain. This three-star destination offers genuine value for travelers seeking authentic neighborhood experiences.

Reviews of Tru By Hilton Brooklyn
Rachel from Canada (8/10)
The room was very smartly laid out with tons of hooks and storage space. The location in Gowanus was very convenient for me and there are many breweries nearby. I didn’t use the common spaces but they looked good. Check in staff were super friendly.

Location was great. And the lower level had a good breakfast (plus coffee and cocoa 24/7). The basement space was important because the rooms were small
