TownePlace Suites by Marriott New York Brooklyn Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to TownePlace Suites by Marriott New York Brooklyn on President Street, you immediately get the sense that this isn’t your typical cramped Manhattan hotel experience. The building has this modern, clean-lined look that fits right into the gentrified Park Slope area, and honestly, the fact that there’s actual parking available here feels like finding a unicorn in New York. I mean, when was the last time you stayed anywhere in Brooklyn where you didn’t have to circle the block seventeen times looking for a spot?
The Neighborhood Advantage
What really struck me about this location is how it puts you right in the sweet spot of Brooklyn living. You’re walking distance from Prospect Park — which, let’s be honest, is way more relaxing than Central Park these days — and the whole Park Slope vibe is just different from Manhattan’s chaos. The subway connections are actually pretty solid from here, so you can still get into the city when you need to, but you get to come back to a neighborhood that feels more like, well, a real place where people live. Couples seem to really get this balance, and I can see why they rate the area so highly.
The Suite Life
Here’s where this four-star property really shines — the suites actually feel like apartments rather than hotel room crammed with furniture. Each room comes with a proper kitchenette, which is a game-changer when you’re staying for more than a couple nights. You know what I love? Being able to grab groceries from the nearby markets and actually cook something instead of eating overpriced room service every meal. The space feels thoughtfully designed too, not like they just threw a mini-fridge in the corner and called it a kitchen.
Morning Routine
The continental breakfast setup works well enough — it’s not going to blow your mind, but it gets the job done and saves you from hunting down coffee first thing in the morning. What I actually appreciated more was having that kitchen space to make my own coffee when I wanted it stronger than the lobby brew. There’s something nice about having options, you know? Sometimes you want the social breakfast scene downstairs, other times you just want to ease into the day with your own routine.
Why Guests Love It
The whole experience here feels less like staying in a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment in Brooklyn. The staff gets that extended-stay vibe — they’re helpful without being hovering, and the building itself has this quiet, residential feel that lets you actually relax. Recent guests consistently praise the location, and after spending time here, I totally understand why. You get the best of both worlds: easy access to Manhattan when you want the full New York experience, but a peaceful retreat in Brooklyn when the city gets overwhelming. Plus, having your own parking spot in New York? That alone might be worth the stay.
Locals suggest to book apartments in New York around Williamsburg for river sunsets, vinyl shops, and craft breweries.

Complementary breakfast was pretty good, room was clean and quiet, the hotel has a great location — Park Slope is an amazing neighborhood and the hotel is absurdly next to the Union St. subway station. When you get in your room, you can relax. When you get out of it, you can just enjoy this amazing city.
