45 Times Square Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking into 45 Times Square Hotel feels like stepping into a calm pocket right in the middle of Manhattan’s chaos. I mean, you’re literally on West 45th Street — you can’t get more central than that — but somehow the lobby manages to feel like a refuge from all the neon and noise outside. It’s a three-star property, so don’t expect marble everything, but honestly? The clean lines and modern touches work perfectly for what this place is trying to be.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about staying in Times Square — most people either love it or think it’s a tourist trap. But this spot on 45th Street is actually brilliant because you’re close enough to walk to Broadway shows (we’re talking two-minute walks to most theaters), yet you can duck back to your room between dinner and curtain time. New York couples seem to get this — they’ve rated the location 9.7, and I totally understand why. You can grab coffee at the Starbucks downstairs, walk to Central Park in fifteen minutes, or hit up Joe Allen for that classic theater district vibe.
The Room Experience
Look, Times Square hotel rooms are notoriously tiny, but these actually feel thoughtfully designed rather than just crammed with furniture. The beds — and this is important when you’re walking 20,000 steps a day in the city — are genuinely comfortable. I’ve stayed in plenty of Manhattan hotels where I’ve woken up feeling like I wrestled with the mattress all night, but that’s not the case here. The windows do a decent job of muffling the street noise, though you know what? Sometimes hearing a bit of the city buzz is part of the New York experience.
Practical Perks
The front desk staff actually knows the neighborhood, which sounds basic but isn’t always a given. They’ll tell you which subway entrance to use (the N/Q/R/W at 42nd is usually your best bet), where to find decent pizza at 11 PM, and how to avoid the worst of the Times Square crowds. There’s no fancy spa or rooftop bar, but there’s something refreshing about a hotel that focuses on doing the essentials really well rather than trying to be everything to everyone.
Why Guests Love It
This place works because it understands what most people actually want from a Times Square hotel — a clean, comfortable base that doesn’t break the bank but puts you right where the action is. You’re not paying for amenities you won’t use; you’re paying for location and reliability. The fact that couples keep rating it so highly tells you something — when you’re trying to maximize your time in the city, having a solid place to crash that’s literally in the heart of everything makes all the difference. It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in New York, and that’s exactly why it succeeds.

Reviews of 45 Times Square Hotel
Oussama from Morocco (9/10)
We asked for an early check-in that was approved 2 hours before the normal check-in time, this was much appreciated. All the personnel were very friendly and the hotel is one minute walk from time square.

Close proximity to Theatre District. Excellent walking score.
Louise from Taiwan (9/10)
No breakfast was provided. However, the location was pretty good, close to Times Square, and you could have breakfast at the Starbucks across the street. The room, while not large and lacking a fridge and writing desk, was sufficient for a 1-2 day stay.
