The Manhattan Club Overview
First Impressions
Walking into The Manhattan Club feels like stepping into one of those classic New York stories you hear about — you know, the ones where everything just clicks into place. This four-star property sits right on West 56th Street, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The lobby has that polished Manhattan vibe without being stuffy, and the staff actually seems to know what they’re doing (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given in this city).
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying near Columbus Circle — you’re basically in the sweet spot of Manhattan. I mean, you can walk to Central Park in about three minutes, Times Square is close enough when you want the chaos but far enough away that you won’t hear it at night. The subway connections are fantastic too, with the 59th Street-Columbus Circle station right there giving you access to multiple lines. What really struck me is how couples seem to gravitate toward this area — there’s something romantic about being able to stroll through the park or catch a show without dealing with the tourist madness of Midtown proper.
The Room Experience
The rooms at The Manhattan Club are where this place really shines, particularly if you’re someone who values a good night’s sleep (and honestly, who doesn’t after a day of walking around New York?). The beds are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel marketing comfortable, but the kind where you actually wake up refreshed. The rooms themselves feel more spacious than you’d expect for Manhattan, with decent storage and windows that actually let in natural light. It’s not groundbreaking design, but it’s thoughtful and functional in that way that makes you appreciate the details.
Morning Routine
Breakfast here is pretty straightforward — they do continental style, plus they have this breakfast-to-go option that’s actually quite clever. I found myself grabbing coffee and pastries on my way out more often than sitting down, especially when I wanted to get an early start exploring. The quality is solid, nothing fancy, but it gets the job done and saves you from hunting down overpriced coffee shops first thing in the morning.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back to The Manhattan Club isn’t any single standout feature — it’s how everything works together. You’re staying in one of the best neighborhoods in the city, sleeping well, and not paying upscale hotel prices for the privilege. The staff knows the area well enough to give you actual recommendations (not just the tourist traps), and there’s something refreshing about a hotel that doesn’t try to be everything to everyone. It just does the fundamentals really well, which in a city like New York, is exactly what you need.
New York hotels keep adventurers close to gallery districts, speakeasies, and subway hubs.

Reviews of The Manhattan Club

Excellent place, excellent location. Close to Central Park for running. And very easy to reach other parts of Manhattan either walking or by subway. Quiet excellent lounge with bar at top floor. Also very good business/officeroom and fitnessroom. Stayed in a 1-bedroom suite which was big and perfect for us, with sofa-bed in livingroom which we did use. Very helpful front desk providing late checkout. All other staff giving very good impression, and seemed service-minded. The pictures and description both on their own webpage and on Booking.com is true, so it really exceeded my expectations 🙂
Hope this place is available on next trip to NYC.Sabda from Qatar (8/10)

We loved it.
The staff we always happy to help, plus answer any questions. We had a junior suite and that was good for us and a 5 and 10 yr olds. The pull out sofa bed was actually really comfortable. Plus the kitchenette was a saver, being able to keep some food in the room and some basic meals was great!!Donna from Philippines (8/10)
