Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned without being in the thick of tourist central. The 6 train at 51st and Lex is a quick walk, and you can actually get to Grand Central in about ten minutes if you don’t mind a little stroll. What I loved most was being able to walk to some genuinely good restaurants that locals frequent – there’s this little Italian place on Second Avenue that doesn’t even have a proper sign, but the hotel staff will point you toward it if you ask nicely. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after business hours, which is either perfect for early sleepers or slightly boring if you want nightlife right outside your door. Check-in was smooth – no unnecessary upselling or fake enthusiasm, just professional service that felt genuine. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be the St. Regis, but for what it is – a solid, well-located place with character and space – it delivers exactly what you’d hope for in a four-star spot.

  Very comfortable and great location, having an apartment gave us flexibility with meals etc and a bit more space. The staff were lovely, everywhere was clean and we had a view of the river.

  Grear quiet hotel away from the tourist areas but reasonably close to the subway. Loved having a separate sitting room and bedroom, and the well-equipped kitchen to make breakfast. Very friendly and professional reception team. We will be back.

Contained all you really need to cook your own meals, like pots and pans, plates and cutlery. Comfortable living room area with TV. Very easy check-in and check-out experience.
