The Room Experience

The room I stayed in had floor-to-ceiling windows that actually opened (rare for New York hotels), and the view of the neighborhood’s mix of old fire escapes and new construction was pretty fascinating. The design feels minimalist but warm — think clean lines with touches of brass and natural wood that keep it from feeling sterile or impersonal. What really impressed me was the attention to sound insulation; despite being on a busy street, I slept surprisingly well.   I loved everything about Nine Orchard, from the service to the comfortable bed to the cookies on my nightstand every night. The attention to detail in every aspect, including decor and facilities, was beyond my expectations. I loved the custom speakers in my room and curated playlists. The hand drawn map was a nice touch. The view from my room was incredible. I spent a good amount of time at my desk writing and looking out toward the skyline.

  After a very stressful time at the airport with our flights getting cancelled a lot of people were rushing to get somewhere booked after the airlines refused to help. On check-in there was a large queue of people so the staff from the bar came round to offer complimentary drinks and comforted everyone as best as they could. The staff on the check-in desk was very patient and lovely given the circumstances and I was able to secure a late check out free of charge to give us more time to recuperate. Then hotel then looked after our baggage and arrange a taxi to come for us later on which really helped us. The room was absolutely amazing, one of the best hotel rooms I've ever seen with beautiful decor, a super comfortable bed, excellent information on the local area and a well stocked mini fridge, it was absolute luxury. The hotel included breakfast which was amazing and all sourced from local suppliers.
