Honestly, the location on Trinity Place is pretty spectacular. You’re literally steps from Wall Street and the 9/11 Memorial, but here’s what the guidebooks don’t tell you — you’re also perfectly positioned for some of the best views of New York Harbor without the tourist chaos of Battery Park. I mean, couples rate this spot 9.4 out of 10 for good reason. The subway connections are solid too, with multiple lines within a few blocks, so getting uptown for Broadway shows or Central Park is actually straightforward.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — and I say that as someone who’s dealt with plenty of shoebox-sized NYC accommodations. The windows are larger than you’d expect, and if you’re lucky enough to snag a harbor-facing room, well, that’s where the magic happens. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night. Storage space is limited (this is Manhattan, after all), but they’ve maximized every inch intelligently.

Dining and Amenities

The on-site restaurant serves decent food, though I’ll be honest — with so many incredible dining options in the Financial District, you might find yourself eating out more often than not. What I appreciated was the 24-hour fitness center, which actually has equipment that works and doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The business center is handy if you need to print boarding passes or handle last-minute work stuff. Parking is available, but honestly, unless you’re driving in from outside the city, you probably won’t need it given the subway access.

It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in the city, but it delivers exactly what most travelers actually need — comfort, character, and a location that puts you right in the middle of everything that matters.

  The location was very central so moving around downtown or taking the metro was very easy. But beyond location the staff was very helpful at all times. Lastly the hotel restaurants sometimes aren’t welcoming except for this hotel’s.

  The service at the Hotel Indigo Financial District was impeccable! The staff working there really care about the guest experience. Everyone I interacted with absolutely went above and beyond to make sure my stay was wonderful. They truly care about the customer experience and the customer. When they greet you or say goodbye as you head off for the day, they are genuinely connecting with you and want you to have a great time in New York City and at their establishment.
  
  The hotel is definitely one of the newer hotels in New York City, and it is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
  
  The location is perfect. If you want to take transit to your destinations throughout the city. The hotel is very close to multiple subway lines; the R,W,4,5,6, and 1 train as well.
  I have stayed in the city twice a year for the last 30 years and truly my stay at the Hotel indigo Financial District was one of the best!
