Walk five minutes east and you’ll hit some great little spots on Second Avenue that most tourists never find. The hotel’s gym is small but has the basics, and their little market area saved me from having to trek to a deli at midnight when I needed snacks. Oh, and if you’re driving – don’t. But if you must, there’s a garage situation that won’t completely bankrupt you, which is saying something for this part of Manhattan. The area can get a bit loud during rush hour with all the traffic on 52nd, but honestly, if you’re staying in Midtown and expecting silence, you’re doing New York wrong anyway. For a solid 3-star spot that puts you right where you need to be without any pretense, this place delivers.

  Everything was super clean. To me that’s non negotiable. I arrived early and they had my room ready, let me check in two hours early. They have complementary coffee for breakfast on the lobby. The staff also stored my luggage for free after checkout for some hours until I left for the airport. The staff was super nice. I’ll definitely come back. And the location is great.
