When I asked about getting to Brooklyn Bridge Park, the front desk guy didn’t just point toward the bridge – he told me about the entrance near Pier 1 that most tourists miss. The breakfast situation is standard Hampton fare, nothing fancy, but here’s what matters: you can grab coffee and a bagel and be walking toward the 9/11 Memorial in five minutes, or hop on the 4/5/6 at Fulton Street station without dealing with the usual tourist crowds you’d face staying in Midtown. Parking is going to cost you – there’s a garage nearby but expect to pay Manhattan prices, obviously. I’d honestly skip the car entirely and just Uber from the airport; you’ll save yourself the headache. The elevator can be slow during busy periods, and the rooms facing Pearl Street pick up some morning delivery truck noise, but nothing that would keep you awake. One thing I really appreciated was the fitness center staying open 24/7 – after walking 15,000 steps exploring the city, sometimes you just want to stretch at midnight without worrying about hotel hours.   The room was nice and clean. Plenty of room to put things in the bathroom and in the wardrobe, clothing area. The lighting was adequate. The location was great. The breakfast area and and the sitting area downstairs was exceptional. Love, loved having the 24-hour coffee, hot water option. The staff was absolutely wonderful. In all of my trips to NY, this was the best staff ever.

  bed was slightly on the hard side but not a problem, well connected considering its as south as you can get with train lines to go up the island all nearby, the breakfast was pretty good

  Room was small! We couldn't open our suitcase unless we put it on the bed. Asked if we wanted a room with a view thinking the view would be of the city, but it was of the building across the street that was an apartment.
