Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re literally surrounded by some of the best food in the city, but you’re also just a few blocks from Times Square when you actually want to do the touristy stuff. Hell’s Kitchen has transformed into this incredible neighborhood where you’ll find everything from hole-in-the-wall Thai places to upscale cocktail bars. The subway access is fantastic too, which means you can get anywhere in the city without dealing with the chaos of trying to catch a cab in Times Square. I mean, couples consistently rate this location nearly perfect, and after spending time here, I totally get why.

The Room Experience

The rooms at this four-star property strike that perfect balance between functional and comfortable. You know how some boutique hotels sacrifice practicality for style? That’s not the case here. The spaces feel thoughtfully designed — there’s actually enough room to open your suitcase without performing gymnastics, and the bathrooms are well-appointed without being over the top. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the soundproofing is solid, which matters when you’re in the middle of Manhattan.

Morning Fuel

The breakfast setup works really well — they offer both continental and buffet options, so whether you’re the grab-and-go type or someone who likes to sit and plan your day over coffee, you’re covered. What I appreciated is that they seem to understand that travelers have different schedules and energy levels in the morning. The coffee is actually good, not just hotel-adequate, and there are enough healthy options alongside the standard fare that you won’t feel like you’re starting your day with a sugar crash.

  Absolutely loved my stay in CIVILIAN Hotel. The location is perfect for walking around main Manhattan locations, also want to thank the service reception team the guys are an amazing and welcome to help you every time, Lisa & Michael were very kind and responsible to help me every time. Also the view from the window of room was just perfect. Will definitely stay here again

  The location was the best part. It’s so central yet you don’t step immediately out on to the chaos. Super close to Times Square / Rockefeller, so could walk to all the main spots. Staff were very friendly on all interactions we had. They had security late at night which was reassuring.
  
  The size of the room is made clear and they have designed well to try and think of everything to maximise the space, eg. suitcase space under the bed. The bathroom was a good size and toiletries provided were nice.
  
  Didn’t try the breakfast (given the price it didn’t seem worth it) so can’t comment on, but we would just grab a coffee and pastry at a lovely little coffee shop on 47th.

  Very good location. 5 minutes from Central Park, Times Square, 5th Av., Brodway.

  We were very close to our reserved Broadway shows and it was easy to find nice places for meals. Our room was small but well organized and very clean; comfy bed and very quiet at night. We loved the big window with city views.

They offer many amenities, like luggage storage after we checked out, discounted day pass to a really nice gym facilities, restaurants and bars in the property. It is also close to everything, you're minutes away from Time Square, Central Park, subway station, all the Broadway Theaters.

  Loved the hotel and the view was fantastic. We were on 21st floor. The location was excellent walking distance from everything. Cocktail bar and live jazz music was great. Rooftop bar lovely and fab views. I would defintely stay again.
