Aloft Long Island City-Manhattan View Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Aloft Long Island City-Manhattan View, you immediately get that modern, tech-forward vibe that the Aloft brand does so well. The lobby buzzes with energy — there’s always something happening, whether it’s live music or just the constant flow of guests who clearly know this place is something special. What really caught my attention, though, was how many people I overheard saying they’d stayed here before. Turns out there’s a reason for that.
The Location Magic
Here’s what makes this spot brilliant — you’re technically in Long Island City, which means you get Manhattan skyline views without Manhattan prices. The four-star property sits right on Jackson Avenue, and honestly, the subway connections are fantastic. You can be in Midtown in about 15 minutes, but when you come back at night, you’re in this quieter Queens neighborhood that feels like a completely different world. Couples especially seem to get this — I mean, having those city views for romantic dinners without the chaos right outside your door? That’s pretty smart.
The Room Experience
I’ve got to say, they weren’t kidding about the beds here. After walking around Manhattan all day, sinking into one of their signature beds was exactly what I needed — and I’m someone who’s usually pretty picky about hotel mattresses. The room itself has that clean, minimalist Aloft design with pops of color and tech touches that actually work (the charging stations are everywhere, thank goodness). But let’s be real — the star of the show is stepping out onto your balcony or just looking out the window at that Manhattan skyline. It never gets old, especially at sunset.
The Social Scene
What I didn’t expect was how social this place feels. The WXYZ bar downstairs becomes this impromptu gathering spot where you’ll find everyone from business travelers unwinding to couples having pre-dinner drinks while staring out at the city lights. There’s also this great outdoor terrace area that feels like a hidden gem — you know what I mean, one of those spaces that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The restaurant serves solid food too, nothing fancy but definitely better than typical hotel fare.
Why Guests Love It
After staying here, I totally understand why so many people come back. It’s that sweet spot where you get the Manhattan experience without the Manhattan headaches — great views, solid amenities, and a location that’s connected but not overwhelming. The staff clearly knows what they’re doing (probably because they see so many repeat guests), and there’s this relaxed confidence about the whole operation. Plus, having parking available in this area? That’s honestly a game-changer if you’re driving in. It’s one of those places that just works — you check in, everything flows smoothly, and you can focus on actually enjoying your trip instead of dealing with hotel drama.

Location great and staff excellent
Amataboon from Thailand (9/10)
Amazing location! Long island city is a great alternative to Manhattan. 1 min walk to subway station on the same side as the hotel and 15 mins train ride to Manhattan. Staff was very friendly. Room is big enough for 2 ppl. Rooftop view is amazing. Too bad a building blocks the view of the Empire State or else we would have seen it right from the hotel’s roof. Only one small minus point is they have probably have a very small luggage storage room so we had to leave our suitcases in the lobby because we checked out for a few days and came back to stay at the hotel again for a night. I will definitely stay there again in the future!

Certainly the staff is friendly, the location of the facility is very convenient for both public transportation and all services (bars, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.) and the quality/price ratio is good.
The LIC area is extremely pleasant for a stay away from the tourist crowds.Benjamin from United States (9/10)

Location was perfect-right by Queens Plaza station we were able to use the Airtrain from the airport to the E at Jamaica to get there, and that station has several other lines that we took to all of our destinations without having to make any transfers. Felt very safe, nearby restaurants and great grocery store not too far away called Foodcellar. Our room and the view (city view) was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooftop lounge was nice for viewing the city in the evening and hanging out during the day.
