SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan Times Square Overview
First Impressions
Walking into SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan Times Square, you immediately notice how they’ve managed to create a sense of space in what could easily feel cramped — no small feat in this part of Manhattan. The lobby has this clean, contemporary vibe that feels refreshingly uncluttered after navigating the sensory overload of Times Square just outside. I mean, you’re literally steps away from all that neon chaos, but inside here it’s actually quite calm. The staff moves efficiently without that rushed feeling you sometimes get at busy Midtown hotels, and check-in was surprisingly smooth even during what I’d consider peak tourist season.
Location & Neighborhood
Honestly, the location is pretty much unbeatable if you want to be in the thick of things. You’re on West 46th Street, which puts you right in the Theater District — I could walk to most Broadway shows in under five minutes. Times Square is basically at your doorstep, but here’s what’s great: you can also escape it easily. The subway stations are incredibly close (Times Square-42nd Street is just a few blocks south), and you know what? Being able to duck back to your room between afternoon sightseeing and evening shows is a game-changer. The area can get pretty intense with crowds, especially in the evenings, but that’s sort of the point of staying here.
The Suites
The rooms are actual suites, which makes a real difference when you’re spending several days in the city. You get a separate living area with a pull-out sofa, plus a proper bedroom — it doesn’t sound like much, but having that extra space to spread out your stuff (and yourselves) matters more than you’d think. The kitchenette is basic but functional, with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I wouldn’t plan on cooking elaborate meals, but it’s perfect for storing leftovers or grabbing a quick breakfast before heading out. The beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern and well-maintained, though not particularly spacious.
Breakfast & Amenities
The breakfast setup is pretty solid for a three-star property — they do an American buffet that covers the basics well. You’ll find scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, yogurt, and various pastries and cereals. It’s not gourmet by any stretch, but it’s filling and gets you fueled up for a day of walking around the city. The coffee is decent, and honestly, having breakfast included saves you from hunting down overpriced options in Times Square first thing in the morning. There’s also a fitness center that’s small but adequate, and the business center works fine if you need to print boarding passes or check emails.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about this place is how it balances being right in the action with providing a comfortable retreat. Couples especially seem to appreciate having that extra room to relax — I can see why they rate the location so highly for romantic trips. You’re close enough to walk to most major attractions, Broadway theaters, and restaurants, but you’re not paying the premium you’d shell out for a higher-end Midtown hotel. The suite layout gives you options for how to spend your downtime, whether that’s lounging separately or entertaining friends who might stop by. It’s the kind of place that works well for both first-time visitors who want to be near everything and seasoned New York travelers who know the value of a good location.
New York hotels keep adventurers close to gallery districts, speakeasies, and subway hubs.

It was ok. Some of the food was cold and seemed to have sat out for awhile. Good selection of foods. Just not great quality control. Juice machine wasn't taken care of either.

We had one breakfast. It was very good.
Jason from United Kingdom (8/10)
Good location, near Times Square. Not too far from the metro to travel out further. Buffet breakfast was good overall.
Stored our suitcases before we could check in allowing us to freely check out the city that afternoon.Nadia from United States (7/10)
The location was great. It was walking distance from the major attractions. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was great with a nice selection of options. However, the room was uncomfortably too small. There were two of us in the room it was extremely difficult maneuvering with our suitcases and getting dress. We stayed one night so we dealt with it. However, any longer of a stay would have been miserable.

Great location! It was next door to the broadway show we watched and a few steps to Times Square and transit stations.
Anita from Hungary (9/10)
