Best Western Plus Soho Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to the Best Western Plus Soho Hotel on Walker Street, you’d honestly never guess it’s a three-star property from the outside — it has this understated elegance that fits right into the neighborhood. The lobby isn’t huge, but it’s got character, and the staff actually seems to know what they’re doing. I mean, you’re not getting marble floors and crystal chandeliers here, but there’s something refreshingly genuine about the place that makes you feel like you’ve found a hidden gem in one of the city’s most sought-after areas.
Location Magic
Here’s the thing about staying in New York — location is everything, and this hotel absolutely nails it. You’re literally at the crossroads of SoHo, Chinatown, and Tribeca, which means you can grab authentic dim sum for breakfast, browse high-end boutiques after lunch, and catch a show in the evening without ever needing a cab. The subway stations are close enough that you’ll actually walk to them, and honestly, couples seem to get this — they consistently rate the location higher than almost anything else about their stay.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but smartly designed — you know what I mean, New York compact, not cramped. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and they’ve managed to squeeze in a decent workspace if you need to get some work done. The bathroom is clean and functional, though don’t expect a spa experience. What I appreciated most was how quiet it stayed despite being on a busy street — apparently they’ve invested in good windows, which makes all the difference when you’re trying to sleep in the city that never does.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast setup is pretty solid for a hotel this size — they do both continental and buffet style, so you’ve got options depending on whether you’re rushing out to catch a morning meeting or taking your time before exploring. It’s not going to blow your mind, but the coffee is decent and there’s enough variety to keep you satisfied. Plus, being able to fuel up before hitting the streets means you can skip the overpriced hotel restaurant scene and dive straight into the incredible food options that surround you in this neighborhood.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the fanciest hotel in Manhattan, but it delivers exactly what most travelers actually need — a clean, comfortable base in an unbeatable location without the premium price tag. The fact that it consistently scores above 8.5 with guests tells you something real about the experience. You’re paying for the location and reliability, and you’re getting both. When you can walk to Little Italy for dinner, SoHo for shopping, and the Financial District for business, all while having a solid place to crash at night, that’s honestly hard to beat in this city.

Impressive breakfast. Better than expected. A wide selection of things to eat. Usually in New York, you get a bagel and cream cheese and a coffe. This breakfast had omelettes and bacon, bread, bagels, croissants, cheese, ham, yoghurt etc.

Great location in proximity to Chinatown and Little Italy with multiple subways close by and an easy way to any place in NYC.
The room size is fair compared to NYC standards.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.Paulina from Poland (9/10)
I loved the hotel's location: the neighbourhood is great, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance, and the subway connection is perfect in all directions. The breakfast was sufficient for us, if you add some vegetables would be just great. To me, there were plenty of amenities in the hotel, such as coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby, the possibility to take breakfast away, a gym, and luggage storage. The room was small but well designed in a way that it was equipped with all the necessities and more (coffee machine, iron desk) and very comfortable. We got the backyard view room, and it was very quiet in the night. The wifi was great, which was important for us, as we didn't have a US number.
Last but not least, the staff of the hotel is just lovely! I always felt welcomed and never had the impression that I was bothering someone. They were all very helpful, kind, and approachable (especially the front desk staff, but also the cleaning team, breakfast team and everyone). They made our stay comfortable, easy and carefree. Special greetings to Nichole and also the lady who welcomed us the day we arrived (I am sorry, I don't remember the name). You are all great, and I hope to visit you again!Robert from United States (8/10)

The rooms are clean and well equipped, staff is great, the breakfast is quite rich. The location of South Manhattan is excellent, quite well connected to other parts of New York.
