Solita Soho Hotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Solita Soho Hotel on Grand Street, you immediately get that authentic New York vibe — it’s tucked right into Little Italy’s bustling streetscape without trying too hard to announce itself. This three-star spot has that understated charm where you know locals actually hang out nearby, not just tourists with guidebooks. The building itself feels like it belongs here, which honestly matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to experience the real city.
Location That Actually Delivers
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re literally in one of the best neighborhoods for exploring on foot, and the couples who stay here seem to get it (they rate the location 9.2, which is pretty telling). You can grab authentic Italian coffee in the morning, wander into SoHo’s galleries by afternoon, and still make it to Chinatown for dinner without breaking a sweat. The subway connections are solid too, though honestly, you might find yourself walking everywhere because there’s always something interesting happening on these streets.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was compact but thoughtfully designed — I mean, this is Manhattan, so you’re not expecting a sprawling suite anyway. What impressed me was how they maximized the space without making it feel cramped or claustrophobic. The windows actually open (a small miracle in many NYC hotels), and you get glimpses of the neighborhood’s character from most floors. The beds are comfortable enough that you’ll sleep well despite the city energy outside, and the bathrooms are modern without being sterile.
Neighborhood Immersion
You know what really sets this place apart? It’s positioned where three incredible neighborhoods collide — Little Italy, SoHo, and the edge of Chinatown. I found myself discovering tiny restaurant gems that aren’t in any travel guides, just by walking a few blocks in any direction. The morning routine becomes part of the experience here; you’ll develop your own coffee spot, your preferred route to the subway, maybe even nod hello to the same street vendors. It’s that kind of neighborhood where you can actually feel like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through.
Why Guests Love It
The 7.8 rating tells the real story — this isn’t about flashy amenities or over-the-top service, it’s about being in exactly the right spot to experience New York authentically. The location score of 9.1 isn’t just numbers; it reflects how you’ll feel when you step outside each day with endless options at your fingertips. Whether you’re planning romantic dinners in Little Italy or spontaneous shopping trips through SoHo’s boutiques, everything feels accessible and genuine from here. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find yourself extending your stay just to explore one more street or try one more café you spotted on your way back.

Reviews of Solita Soho Hotel
Ivelina from Bulgaria (8/10)
Great location! The hotel is in the Little Italy district, near different metrostations, with lots of small caffes and restaurants near by. The hotel and the room are very clean, the beds are comfortable. The staff are very nice people! The bed sheets and towels were changed often. The view from the room is nice. We had a complimentrary coffee in the morning. We had a great stay for 5 nights on really good price!

Stephen from United Kingdom (9/10)
There was no breakfast as such, coffee from Starbucks and pastries were provided. You are however over the road from the Landmark one of the last of the proper old diners in lower Manhattan.
