The rooms themselves have this clean, almost Scandinavian vibe – lots of natural light, which is basically a miracle when you’re sandwiched between buildings in Midtown East. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re literally steps from Grand Central’s chaos. The windows actually block out the city noise, and the AC doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on your roof.

Here’s what sold me on the place: the location is pretty much perfect for getting around, but it’s not in the tourist hurricane that is Times Square. You can walk to Grand Central in maybe three minutes – I timed it because I’m weird like that – which means you’ve got access to everything without dealing with the Penn Station nightmare. Bryant Park is right there too, and honestly, grabbing coffee and sitting in the park before the morning rush hits became my little routine. The front desk staff actually knows the neighborhood, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many hotel employees just shrug when you ask about decent dinner spots nearby. They pointed me toward this hole-in-the-wall ramen place on 43rd that I never would’ve found otherwise.

The IHG thing means you get all those loyalty perks if you’re into that, but even if you’re not, the service feels more personal than corporate. Check-in was smooth – no weird upselling or making you feel like you’re inconveniencing them by existing. The lobby has this relaxed energy where people actually hang out and work, not just rush through. And can we talk about the shower pressure? Because after walking around Manhattan all day, that’s what matters, and they absolutely nailed it. Small thing, but the room lighting has different settings that actually make sense – you can read without feeling like you’re in an operating room, or dim things down without fumbling around in complete darkness. It’s those little touches that tell you someone actually thought about how people use hotel rooms, not just how they look in photos.

  The location of the hotel is amazing. Away from the noise and at the same time, close to Grand Central, that takes you to anywhere. I would like to mention Jeremy, the hotel manager. Amazing and very approachable, always around asking how things were. He took us to the rooftop where we got very nice pictures. The room is clean, good amenities. Elevators are fast.
