Residence Inn by Marriott New York Downtown Manhattan/World Trade Center Area Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the Residence Inn by Marriott New York Downtown Manhattan/World Trade Center Area, you immediately get that “extended stay done right” feeling. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe that’s professional without being stuffy — which honestly makes perfect sense given where you are. I mean, you’re literally steps away from Wall Street and the World Trade Center, so the four-star property attracts a mix of business travelers and tourists who want to be right in the thick of things. The staff actually seems to know what they’re doing, which isn’t always a given in Manhattan hotels.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying on Broadway in the Financial District — you’re basically at the center of everything that matters in lower Manhattan. The 9.4 location rating from couples makes total sense when you realize you can walk to the 9/11 Memorial, catch the Staten Island Ferry for those Statue of Liberty views, or grab the subway to anywhere in the city within minutes. Stone Street’s historic cobblestones and restaurant scene are right around the corner, and you know what? The neighborhood actually quiets down in the evenings, which is rare for Manhattan. During the day it’s all business energy, but at night you get this surprisingly peaceful atmosphere.
The Rooms
The suites here are what really set this place apart from typical Manhattan hotel rooms — and I’m talking actual space to breathe. Each room comes with a full kitchen, which honestly saves you a fortune when you’re staying in one of the most expensive cities in the world. The beds live up to their reputation too; guests consistently rave about the comfort level, and after spending a few nights here, I get it. The separate living areas mean you can actually spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase. Plus, the windows give you glimpses of the historic architecture that makes this part of the city so distinctive.
Breakfast & Amenities
The American buffet breakfast is actually pretty solid — not just continental pastries and sad coffee, but real options that’ll fuel you for a day of exploring the city. They’ve got hot items, fresh fruit, and decent coffee that doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since yesterday. The fitness center is well-equipped (important when you’re walking 20,000 steps a day around Manhattan), and there’s a business center that’s actually useful if you need to print boarding passes or catch up on work.
Why Guests Love It
What really works about the Residence Inn by Marriott New York Downtown Manhattan/World Trade Center Area is that it gives you the space and amenities of an apartment with the services of a hotel. Business travelers love the kitchen facilities and the reliable WiFi, while tourists appreciate being able to store leftovers from those massive New York portions. The location means you’re walking distance from both the historic sites downtown and the transportation hubs that’ll get you uptown quickly. It’s one of those places where the 8.5 rating actually reflects the experience — solid, reliable, and perfectly positioned for exploring everything lower Manhattan has to offer.
Savvy travelers reserve a hotel in New York before marathon weekend fills boutique lobbies with runners.

Celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday. She chose this hotel online. We were totally surprised at the huge room. Friendly and accommodating staff. Clean.
Location was in walking distance to many attractions. Very close to Statue of Liberty boat tour. Lots of restaurants in the area. Malt house across the street from hotel had Great food. Great shopping nearby. Could not pick a better hotel. Breakfast at hotel was very good. Availability of transportation from hotel to airport was a plus. Love our stay in New York.Rosharron from United States (9/10)

The staff at breakfast was super and also very friendly. I am already planning to come back in the summer and will stay here. I do not have one bad thing to say about this hotel.

It was very good well managed and maintained. The staff were very helpful always on hand to give advice and help to where you were going. After being disappointed with two other properties earlier this was outstanding both with the staff and with service and amenities.
