The beds are actually good, which matters more than people think when you’re doing the whole walking-20,000-steps-a-day tourist thing.

Here’s what I really appreciated though – the location gives you options. You’re close enough to walk to Bryant Park for a coffee break that doesn’t involve fighting crowds, and the subway access is genuinely convenient with multiple lines nearby. I stayed there during a busy week in fall, and while the area gets hectic during rush hour (what part of Midtown doesn’t?), the hotel itself stays relatively calm. The neighborhood has that mix of business travelers and tourists, so there’s good energy without feeling like you’re trapped in a theme park. Honestly, for the price point and that 7.6 rating, it delivers what it promises – a solid, well-located place to crash while you explore the city. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s not going to disappoint either, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need in a city that’s already providing plenty of excitement on its own.

  Really close to most of NY attractions like Time Square, Summit One, Empire State building, Rockefeller center, Bryan’s park, 5th ave and to many subway terminals.

  The location was brilliant, close all attractions and easy to get around. Easy to navigate around the city & between to main avenues, meaning easy to get back. Perfect in the centre of manhattan, meaning to need really to get cabs.

  The Royalton is located very close to Times Square so we didn't have to go far to reach many tourist destinations. The staff were very polite and helpful. The fireplace made the lobby cozy and seating was plentiful. The room was clean and the hotel was able to accommodate my request for no feather bedding. The TV and Internet were easy to use and had Chromecast available.
